I had my gall bladder taken out a year ago. For awhile I could eat almost anything and felt good. Now I can barely eat and always am a bit light headed.I went to the Dr and all blood tests were fine.I'm just wondering what goes.I am taking previlite to help bowel movements which were all loose .It helps but sure doesn't cure the dizzy feeling.I wonder if someone could tell us why?

Glad I am not the only one. I had my GB removed last week and I am extremely dizzy and feel i could pass out. I am scared maybe the bile or something is poisoning me . I go back to doc later this week and hope for some answers.

the dizzyness everyone is feeling is most likely low stomach acid. Does the dizzyness usually occur shortly after eating? If so, take a digestive enzyme formula that includes betaine hydrochloride. You can also drink some water with fresh lemon.

Anesthesia is the culprit. I have suffered for 6 mos now with same symptoms plus loss of appetite, restlessness, extreme anxiety, extreme fatigue, weight loss, dizzy, blurry vision (never had any of this before anesthesia). All medical tests are negative. Have been to several doctors with no answers. Not sure I will survive this. I am a single mom with 3 kids and can no longer work due to the extreme symptoms. ps. I did not have my gallbladder removed...just exploratory surgery. One doc diagnosed me with 'akathisia' due to anesthesia and compazine...reglan used for nausea. I have all the sypmtoms. They are unbearable.

I had my gal bladder out monday and it is saturday and still havent done a poo. so when if ever is this supposed to happen?

my side feels like i am being kicked when i try to get a deep breath, will this sudden sharp pain (when burping too) actually go away?

I never got the gas shoulder pain, and i was only dizzy when i had to walk to a chair in hospital 5 hours after op and vomited yellow liquid. but felt fine.

took medicine, hot water bottle, and relax. no pain...

i was put under conscious sedation 4 months ago for minor surgery, i passed out on the car ride home and stopped breathing, my boyfreind had to give me mouth to mouth to bring me back and took me to the er....about 3 days after surgery i suddenly got very dizzy and had lightheaded spells. i was so weak i could barely walk and was very off balance. i could not go to work, drive, or sleep. i practically moved back in with my mother because the anxiety and panic attacks got so bad. i'm in a constant fog and my memory is not as good as it was. i am on no medications and i was a completely healthy 33 yr old before this. i have had every test imaginable...i have seen a total of 16 doctors and they find nothing wrong with me....they ask if i am depressed...and of course my answer is if i felt like myself and if someone would give me some answers and help me i wouldn't be depressed. i wanna go out with my friends and work without feeling like i'm going to pass out. i want to feel normal again. my head spins 24/7, my vision is distorted, i'm nauseous all the time, i can't think right......in the past month i started seeing a homeopathic doctor who told me its bad anesthesia and gave me phophorus (homeopathic remedy) to take twice a day along with a vitamin regimin. i'm starting to feel somewhat like myself again.....i'm hoping it continues

My reaction to anesthesia has left me now house bound due to the overwhelming anxiety, pacing, insomnia, and severe weakness. You are the first person in 7 months of searching the net for a similar reaction that has posted. Any suggestions or doctors names you could give me would be greatly appreciated. I, Too, have been to many doctors. They put me on ativan and now I am having extreme problems from that. You are describling akathisia. I am desparate for help. I have lost my job and will soon lose everything else, children included. I have all of your symptoms plus now serious side effects from the ativan...do not go on that!!!

I Just had my gallbladder out Friday, Sept 30, 2011. I am also dizzy a bit. But I have to say that I am glad I am not alone here. I did call my doc. Said to give it a few days and call back. But I see  here that it can last longer. I am going to go to my drug store and see if its my blood preassure. Never had High blood pressure but worth a try. I hate that feeling. I was worried I had a blood clot or something, in my head. My head feels like , well actually it feels like I left it there in the operating room, lol.. ugh.. If anyone else has any way of getting rid of this, oh lord please let us know!

Good morning, I am 6 days postop from having my gall

bladder removed...with total regret!!! I was told

I could wait but that would insue more serious complicances , now I have no energy and so weak, dizzy spells, burping, cramping, hard to catch a deep breath....seriously...I was told no big deal, I will feel so much better. I feel like a big baby, but I work 50 hours a week plus and I can not feel like this. i need some advise and where do I trun!!! I can sleep fine and thats the only thing i can say postively, this is horrible...no pain but the rest of this is not a fair trade for what I now am suffering with.So discouraged and disappointed!!!! Called the doctor on serveral issues and its all the same responce, " give it the 10 days",....I need some support!!!!!!!

Thank you for this sight where at least i dont feel so isolated.
