Don't know if it mean's anything but I read the milk of magnesium bottle, and it say's not to take It within two hours of any other drug. I didn't take any today an have had no dizziness. Also I made chicken soup with long gain rice and carrots onion an celery in a light broth which seems to be tolerated well. I also cut back the pain med's to half, I wrote the wrong date previously I just had it removed 11/20/13.

So glad I googled my symptoms and found this site. Had gallbladder removed just over 2 weeks ago and although had little pain and discomfort, have been plagued with feeling nauseous, dizzy to the point of nearly fainting and feeling extremely weak. It seems quite common- much to my relief as I was beginning to think there was something gone wrong- No one prepared me for this!  Thanks for all the advice x

This is not a reply to any particular post....I am just happy to have come across all these comments and to know that i'm not the only one with these flu like symptoms! It will be one week on monday since my gall bladder is out. I've experienced an irritating headache most mornings and have to sit up for several minutes before standing or walking. I stopped my demerol after the first day home because the pain was manageable. I've had most of the other minor gas, shoulder and even sharp backside pains, but this post op weakness and dizziness just strange! There does not seem to be anyone actually posting a follow up on their further recovery, so it's hard to say if any suggestions have worked or if the problem simply stopped. The thought on the lack of bile in the stomach is interesting so i will be trying the lemon and water tomorrow. Again, i'm sorry that there are so many people dealing with this problem, but so glad to know that i'm not alone!! Thanks for your posts.

Did you ever get a diagnoses? I am 18 mos post gallbladder removal and the bloating and dizziness remain, I can figure out the triggers. The dizziness is different, with a statically sound in my head, more light headed, not room spinning dizzy.

So glad I found this blog.  I am 8 days post op and have many of these same symptoms; nausea, dizziness, feeling a lot of pressure behind eyes and head. Also, terrible acid reflux.  I am feeling rather frustrated, still have a lot of the symptoms the gallbladder removal was supposed alleviate and now, I have new concerns. The surgery itself went well, no pain in abdominal area, not taking pain meds.

I noticed most of the posts are rather old, I hope someone can provide and update or feedback since their last posts.   Thank you.

I also had my gall bladder removed and experienced  dizziness  , headaches and tiredness  . Doctors could not relate this to the operation but I was convinced that was related . I wondered if this miserable  feelings would  ever pass  . However , it eventually began to fade away  as I recovered from the operation – but this was a very , very  slow process .  Please have patience , never give up , watch your diet and you will survive , like I did . Mine took about a year and three months .

In the meantime , I found reframing from Gutin , Milk and Milk products – helped . Eat lots of fruits especially green apples – helps to pass out extra  gall away from  the stomach .

Did you ever find out the reason for your dizziness? I had my gall bladder removed 3 weeks ago and I still can't walk straight or drive a car. The surgeon said he doesn't know what the problem is...

Hi My self no you are definitely not a hypochondriac! I have had gall bladder removal surgery just on two and a half months ago. 14 May 2015. I am experiencing still what you are experiencing Dizziness, Diarrhea, Extreme tiredness, I sleep most of the times or have to lay in bed because I just feel so tired and weak. Also I get the hot one minute and cold the next and yes I am having trouble with eating also. I can only eat small meals at a time. I am just writing this to let you know that you are not alone! I'm off to the doctors shortly to get some blood test results off him so hopefully he can shed some more light on why this is happening to me two and a half months after having my gallbladder removed. Many blessings Denise.

I'm 5 days post gallbladder surgery and I'm dizzy and light headed all day.
It seems to ease a bit about bed time.
I don't understand but I'm anxious about it.
I'm eating drinking blood pressure always good .
I just don't understand.
My hubby said they had to use more anesthesia than usual because I was hard to put under lol.
That's the only thing I can think of at this point that could be causing this lingering dizziness.
Any insight would be great :)
