I know many 13 yr old girls who have much older boyfriends. I had one myself when I was 13ish. It was the best thing that happened to me and I have no regrets. The law around older/younger relationships is so frustrating. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Just opening up a debate/discussion. Do we really need a law around this perfectly normal biological behaviour?
OMG! I am so glad someone has opened up this topic. I am 13 too and am in a similar relationship. I dont want to say his age but he is a lot older and I been with him for 12 months now. I feel so happy and I feel so safe with him. Only 3 of my besties know about me and him. He is really so sweet and so cool and such a nice guy. I know how strict the law is but I dont mind. I feel it is my choice and I should be able to do what I think is best for me.
This is so good to be able to chat and to open up about this topic. I know other girls who are in such relationships but are too scared to openly discuss this with anyone.
We've all broken the silly law. Change is long overdue BUT society benefits and wants to prolong childhood in us and by doing so delays our maturity and emotional development. I find that extremely annoying and frustrating. Have fun and let us know how everything turns out. We need to prove the world wrong.
