Under my Christmas tree I got a dog. Sweet, little poodle dog. She is really amazing. Her name is Lilly.
For the first days I was feeding her with human foods even if I am against it. But I really was not able buy her a proper food – I didn’t have a time.
Now I want to buy some food for her but I don’t know which one is the best option.
I was thinking to buy grain – free food but my friend told me that I should not because it has side – effects?
Really? What are the side – effects to dogs?
Hello. Happy New Year to you to. It depends but generally there are no side – effects that are dangerous for your dog. It can be natural, someone will tell you that this is healthy, but we could discuss about it for a while. Back on topic, I don’t understand what she was thinking when she told you about those side – effects. Did she mentioned any of them? The only side effects that I am familiar with are those when your dog doesn’t’ have a proper care with this food. But I don’t believe that your dog can get really sick or something like that.

It depends what you mean when you say side – effects. Some side – effects that can be dangerous for your dog’s heath – I don’t think so.
But generally I believe that your dog won’t be able to get enough proteins, minerals, vitamins and all other nutrients that he needs with this food.
Whenever I was reading something about this, I have noticed that something is missing and then you need to recoup that with some supplements.
That is why I would not choose grain free food for my Boo. I think that I can offer him better food.

It doesn’t have any side – effects. It is safe to use it and if you want to feed your dog with it you are welcome. It is silly that some people telling you that this food is causing side – effects.
In this case I am sure that this food wouldn’t be in the markets right?
I agree that there are better choices that grain – free but still I don’t see why you just can’t mix this food with other foods.
This is the way that your dog gets full food treatment.

I was talking with my friend today, just right now and I asked her what she meant when she told me that grain – free food has some side effects. She told me that this food can cause various problems with dog digestive system, that this food can cause abdominal pain because it is heavy for dog’s stomach. She mentioned that my dog can't have proper nutrition because grain – free kibble cannot offer this to my dog. According to her words it can lead to some health issues. Is this true?
