i dont believe its possible to die from suboxone. after a certain amount, the narcan in it blocks the affects so no matter how many mgs you take, you only feel up to about [24 i think]. narcan is what they shoot you up with when you o.d. saved my life. as has suboxone

I am in supperior court probation and would go back to prison if i made the mistake by giving a dirty urine, after doing tons of research i found that quick cups ( i.e 10 panel instant urine cup ) DO NOT screen for BUPE and although it does test for oxys and morphine Suboxone will NOT trigger a positive on either because it is not either, not my opinion or hear say this is fact..

So after all the info i was still worried and continued to look for more info meanwhile i already had all i needed but was still worried so initially i was completely clean when taking my first urine test and i grabbed the cup out of the trash and noticed that it did not specify a search for BUPE/suboxone because some quick cups have 12 panels and do test for subpoxone but are very expensive and from what i found out are rare in the court systems and standard drug screenings BUT im not saying they dont exists w/in the system.. UNLESS its going to get spun and even when getting spun the paperwork must have an order to test for Bupe , so unless its ordered by doctor and or probation officer or employer it will not be tested for unless it is standard procedure/stand urine test for them to test for it and again this is very uncommon..

Long story short, i have been taking about 8mg of suboxone for over a month and have had 3 tests and im sitting here to tell you so obviously i passed w/ big bold stripes going across every panel ..

Im tired of people just saying stuff when they have no idea what they are talking about " IT is morphine it will show up !!", if you dont know then dont answer..

i understand that some try to discourage from suing but dishonesty is dishonesty regardless of what you dress it up in.

You may thing you are doing a good deed by "scaring " someone BUT you cant scare an addict and this could actually have worse effects because one may take the " well i may as well shoot heroin because i know that leaves in a few days" approach and end up dead in a burger king bathroom so there is no good evil here, stop making stuff up because it may make things worse..

also for those who get a kick out of scaring people, grow the fck up.

ONLY IF THEY ARE USING A SPECIAL TEST WHICH TESTS FOR SOBOS< STANDARD TESTS DO NOT.

Before anyone says it i will, i know im a dummy, i risk my freedom over drugs .. ya ya ya..

do you think you're "I don't know" answer is in any way helpful to anyone..., along with you're assumptions??? holy c**p! don't type to just put ur .02 cents in. its annoying and its unhelpful and I guarantee you like to hear the sound of your own voice

Holy sh*t. pardon my language but thanks. that was the most intelligent and common sense filled response I've seen to date. I have a simple question that you might have an opinion or knowledge about since you seem to actually care and give an answer. not just a half-assed hypothesis. I took a quarter or a 8mg film (so 2mg)... probably have to do a chemical evaluation for a driving license issue. I've read quite a few posts on the topic of sub. but most are id**t opinions or stupid people trying to act otherwise. anyways. my question. I know the specific tests are spendy and uncommon but if a test is sent to the lab, do they test for every possible thing under the sun? or still only specific things? or do they pick and choose? I would assume they test for the main things or they test for what was on the original instant panel test. but I DO NOT know. They're going to test for alcohol and pot and meth and coke most likely or maybe a 7-10 panel test... but if they send it in, i'm wondering if they automatically test for the suboxone or if they still have to specifically test for that drug or it just comes up in the list or everything that's in your system and if its just a list of every chemical, where do they draw the line... or when its sent to the lab, are there different options reguarding how in depth they are asked to go??? if you know that would be cool to get a reply. Thanks.

Unless you are tested specifically for buprenorphine which is in suboxone and how they test suboxone users to make sure they are correctly taking their meds, it will not show up. This is not tested for in a 10 panel.

No it would not show up on a ten panel drug test.. Whom ever is testing would have to specifically ask for Suboxone to be tested. However with the Suboxone being bought more often off the street and the abuse it has become a more frequently tested drug. If used correctly had you have a legal prescription for it then probation/parole nor your employer can use it against you. So If you use Suboxone then don't take the risk and find a doctor who will write it to you, and then you've got nothing to worry about. I am actually in a program now and it's been a great experience so far. I'm no longer cravings other drugs and I've got my life back on track.

I am so glad someone added that comment. Suboxone IS NOT an opiate. It will not show up as an opiate on any test. It has, in very rare cases, caused a false positive, but the test was retaken and it came back negative. This was from a friend that was being specifically screened by his doctor for opiate use while on Suboxone. An hour later his second drug test came back clean. All of the answers that being given saying that the drug must be specifically screened for are true, and since this drug is used for rehabilitation, not abuse, there is a next to nothing possibility that an employee would be tested for the substance unless under extenuating circumstances such as returning to a job after drug abuse therapy, and those tests would only to be to confirm that the employee was sticking to their rehabilitation program. Take this advice from a phlebotomist. I draw blood and collect urine for drug tests daily. Hope this helps from a Suboxone user and health care professional.

I was just hired by a company contingent on a negative drug test. I have been taking buprenephrine for almost a year now and decided to test myself with urine stick for opiates from a head shop. It came up negative. Two days later, I took a 10 panel drug test at a well known lab all the while taking the buprenephrine. I actually take it twice daily without ever missing a day. My employer called me today to fill out the hire paperwork and in it, I saw the results from the 10 panel, NEGATIVE. So I hope that helps clear up any questions. Now I do know that some employers may include Buprenephrine in their drug screens, like a hospital but it is not common. I also need to add that I take this drug LEGALLY, prescribed by a physician and I take it just how it says on the bottle. I strongly urge those who abuse this drug that there is hope of leading a normal, productive life but you have to do it the right way. We don't need anymore widows or orphans.

Whoever runs this web page should delete all posts that say suboxone will come up positive because it absolutely will not. It make this page completely pointless and helpless for someone who really wants the correct answer, being there is so many yes and nos... Suboxone will not show up in any 5or 10 panel drug test. Labs have to test for BUPE specifically, which is very expensive and NOT a part of any regular test. Suboxone will NOT counteract any OPI panels either. If you are on suboxone because you are truly trying to get better, then good for you. I hope you can truly get off opiates and live a happier life. Opiates are a powerful thing and easily destroy lives. Not fun, I know from experience. Good luck to all of you in those shoes. I understand this question because I never had a prescription to subs, just bought cheap from friend who did. This came up for me, I researched and have known for years that suboxone DOES NOT test positive. Good luck to all of you.

It's unlikely to show on a 10 panel, but it's possible. If you search for "10 panel test with buprenorphine" there are some but those brands of test are not common. However there is a common brand that can be custom ordered (how many drugs and which ones), but typically bup is not in a ten panel. It's usually part of a 12 or 13 panel test, or it's own test. Unfortunately I don't remember the brand name or the website I found where you could custom order them. Even then it's not 100% certain it'll be tested for.

it doesn't have opiates 'in it' ., it is an agonist AGAINST opiods, I have been taking since 2006. "IF" I am prescribed Vicodin, percocet, etc, THEY WILL NOT WORK! I have switched from tablets to films (around 2012). They work fine and less chance of needle abuse for some, (not my thing). I took a pre employment drug screen 2 hours ago. will post results, I am having faith that I will be hired. God honors effort and good luck to all :)

I wont say you are a dummy at all. I appreciate the time that you took to post that. i have taken sub for 8 years.(16 mg per day). It saved my life, and as I am getting older, I need the sub for pain relief, as I CANNOT AND WILL NOT take an opiate. I totally relate to what you said about people posting LIES., It could KILL people just like a loaded gun. Thank you for your truth,
