Hello,
I went to the doc today, because I have problems with acne. He prescribed me with tetracycline, but I am a little suspicious if that would help. Has anyone any experience with tetracycline?

Hey there,
Tetracycline is an antibiotic that kills bacteria on the skin. Tetracycline helped me… and I had ulcers (ulcers are really big, awful and painful acne). I think you should try tetracycline. Oh, yes, one more thing I wanted to remind you… do not squeeze acne, this makes situation worse and in that case even tetracycline doesn’t help.

Hello there,

If your doctor has prescribed you tetracycline than you should start using it immediately! First of all he has examined your face so he is familiar which skin type are you and based on this information he can decide what is the best for you. Of course dermatology is very complicated and its secrets have not been completely revealed so most of the time dermatologists are guessing.

But if you want to see if there is going to be any improvement you need to start with using tetracycline and if you notice any side effects than you can ask from your dermatologist to exchange it for something else. Friend of mine is using Proactive and he is very satisfied.

Hi, I recently got Tetracycline HCL. I took it today and I am suppose to take it twice a day. Has anyone taken it for their acne? What are the side effects? And also, did it help you?
