I've had a problem since I was young, and that is something stuck in the back of my throat. It's not a sensation, it is truly a fine peice of food or something of the like getting stuck in the soft tissue at the back of my throat in one of the cannals. It used to disloge after a few days when I was young cause I would pick at it till it did, but on the other hand it was so far in the back of my mouth that my gag reflex would kick in. It's been years since such an occurance, but recently I'd been unable to beat a bout of a sore throat, and I mean a good month of on and off sore throa, sick a week then good for 2 days then full blown sick again. The fourth week I received antibiotics from my doctore but after they ran their course still felt like it may be coming back. Anyway the other day I ate a very spicy sandwhich and upon finishing it I had that familiar feeling of a very fine peice of food stuck in that canal. After minutes, it seemed to receed back into the canal. I'm wondering why this happens? It sounds moronic but I am unable to stick my fingers backthere to try to rid it because my "REFLEX" kicks in way before I even find it. It's been a good four days stuck in my throat and I feel it on the back of my tongue constantly. As this seems quite unique I haven't been able to find anything on this condition on the net. So hopefully my explanation may help in establishing or even remedying this situation I have. Anything would help thanks.
Hi! Have you ever tried to contact a doctor over this matter? The only thing I can say is that I also had a lump in the throat but I found out it was just a sensation of the lump. What makes you so sure that yours is a real thing?
I’ve had it for 2 months and the lump would go away in the mornings when I was fresh and relaxed and show up in the evenings when I was really tight and tired from work.
I had no troubles eating, I got relief after having a meal but it would sometimes make me feel as if I were going to puke or stop breathing.
My doctors (GP and ENT) found nothing and told me it was stress. I later found out it was probably stress because there was spasm of some muscles in the throat that make this sensation. It went away on its own after two months time although I was very concerned at the time thinking it could be esophagus cancer or something.
If it’s not this muscle spasm, it could be GERD because GERD will also make you feel like that and GERD may be common in children as well.

It is probably hardended pus coming out of your tonsils. Is it small hard white balls? Whenever I have itchy tonsils this happens and the dr. told me the above.
It sound like something I just experience recently. For me it felt like a popcorn kernal stuck in my throat. It sound's like tonsilloliths or "tonsil stone". After feeling frustrated and hoping the feeling would go away. I did some research and found this website which was very helpful
