I have some questions about ecezema issues. What causes it? Can I catch it from a person suffering from it? How long does it last? I know that the older people can have it (my father has it and for some time now), but what about children? I have two kids and they like their grandfather and visit him almost every day, are they in any danger of infection?
First of all it is not dangerous at all. Now, to answer your questions. It is caused by genetic or environmental factors and it is called eczema (atopic dermatitis). You cannot catch it from your father, so your children and you are safe. There are some things you should know. Eczema can get worse by some irritants such as clothes made of wool or man-made fibers, some soaps, dust, cigarettes, perfumes etc.
