Hi. I have some questions and they concern my husband’s late problems.
He is 45 years old and till this occurred he was very healthy and he has almost never been to any doctor what so ever.
But lately he started to feel some, both strange and serious symptoms like high fever, tiredness, major muscle aches, severe headache, and, in some cases and even a rash.
I took him to doctor and they have kept him in a hospital for observations, but one doctor mentioned that it could be some disease ehrlichosis. What kind of disease this is?

Well, it is quite reasonable for you to not know anything about this disease because Ehrlichiosis is a newly recognized bacterial disease that is spread by infected ticks.
Ehrlichiosis is caused by specialized bacteria called rickettsiae.
It’s all about attacking your white blood cells.
The illnesses differ in the types of white blood cells they attack –
either monocytes or granulocytes.
There are several possible known complications of this disease like abnormally low numbers of white blood cells, abnormally low numbers of platelets, and kidney failure.
Appropriate antibiotic treatment (Doxycycline or Rifampin) should be initiated immediately when there is a strong suspicion of ehrlichiosis.
