Hi, I have a very embarrassing problem. I often hear some abdominal sound like growling. I don’t know what is that, but I can tell you it’s not easy not to blush.
Well first, there is nothing to be embarrassed about. That abdominal sound you hear is called borborygmi. That sound shows you that your stomach is functioning normally. Peristalsis is a process of pushing food down you digestive tract. When your intestine squeeze, inside them is often a mixture of liquids and gases and that produces abdominal sound. This sound could also appear when you are hungry. Maybe you should try to eat more slowly and not to swallow air. Actually this sound also happened to me while writing this answer.
