I am 28 and a diabetic type 1. I have had two kids, my second being stillborn at full term (8 yrs ago), and 4 months ago had heavy bleeding. I had to be admitted for three blood transfusions and was told i was not pregnant or miscarried, nor was there any medical reason for my bleeding (16 days and quarter sized clots every two hrs. max.) I was given the option of hysterectomy but told it would be too much for my age, and to have an endometrial ablasion. I was told I would not be able to get pregnant/ no more periods. i agreed to do the procedure if that was the only way to stop the bleeding and save my life from losing too much blood. two weeks later i was told i had a d&c, and endometrial ablasion, but that the bleeding was from miscarring, i didn't know i was pregnant. what are the chances, if any, i could get pregnant again myself and did i really need the procedure? I haven't had any periods, nor am i taking any birth control. i was also told i should have a tubal ligation too. why and is it necessary too?
You should search under pregnancy and ablasion and read the notes. There is a chance you got pregnant.
