HI, i was diagnosed with endometrial polyps which may be the cause of my intermenstrual or bleeding between period and my OB-gyne suggested to have it removed in her clinic. When it was removed, my bleeding immediately stop but there was brown discharge after. During the 2nd day, i did not have any bleeding or brown discharge at all. I was happy that my bleeding between period stop after removal of polyp. However, during the 3rd day after the polyp removal, i had my normal menstruation, a light flow bleeding, on Day 6 and 7 of my cycle, i had very heavy bleeding with small blood clotting. Day 8-10 very light spotting.
My question is, does the removal of polyps prolongs the the menstruation cycle? Or it is not a menstuation, but bleeding due to removal of polyps

this week I had a polyp removed and after that I feel pain in my stomach and bleeding. I was investigating on the internet and seems pain and bleeding is quite normal after surgery. but the pain should not be excruciating if it is go to the doctor. second lots of people said they had bleeding in the next month. so you might be experiencing that. your body cleaning after surgery. but doctor opinion is the best. ow just saw the time you posted. well the answer might help someone else hehe and pls write experience after since I'm very interested my self.
