Hi. I have the same symptoms – I can write and I speak normally, but I can`t write. I was diagnosed with pure alexia (alexia without agraphia). Persons with pure alexia cannot read, but other language functions are just fine. I comprehend auditory information very well. It is a paradox I think when I can write but I can`t read what I have just wrote. I simply cannot decode my handwriting. Pure alexia means my language center is disconnected from visual perceptual areas in my brain.
