excuse me vagina is acidic and it is not at all alkaline its ph ranges from 3.8 - 4.5 pH and the problem of excess watery discharge is due ovulation which is a sexual transformation ..... its normal !!!! still to be on a safer side consult a doc.

I have the same problem. I noticed it after having had Vaginitis. I got rid of that, but then this part never went away. It is just like everyone else here has described. I have begun worrying if it is a symptom of cervical cancer or some other cancer that is hard to find until it is too late. So much to worry about!

I have the same thing going on but I am sure I am near menopause. It is terrible and annoying. After having a whole week of period then you have another week of watery discharge. I think maybe it is something to do with hormones also. I feel better now though seeing all of these posts and knowing I am not alone...

Glad to know that there are people with the same problem. The foul smell caused due to this discharge is really embarrassing sometimes. My doctor did prescribe few medicines but they did not help either. I just want to know how to get rid of this problem.

I have had a watery discharge but I don't have a bad odor with mine. It is just annoying and watery enough that I have to wear a full size pad. It is also very clear... Very strange but it will may do this every other month. If you have a bad odor that is fishy or something it could be a bacteria infection. I had that before and I hated that to. The bacteria infection will not go away without meds from the doctor though. I hope this helps...

I have this same problem and found 2 things that helped. One I found by accident and it is not a cure, but a temporary fix. I was doing a 3 day spiritual fast, no food just water, a little pure juices, black decaf and tea with no sugar. It hit me that while I fasted, there was no watery discharge. As soon ad the fast ended and I started eating again, it came back. I also noticed that when I took a supplement called Resveratrol, the discharge decreased significantly and then stopped altogether. My periods were even lighter. When I stopped the Resveratrol, the heavy periods and watery discharge came back. This leads me to believe it is caused by inflamation in the body. Inflamation is caused by many foods we eat (the chemicals in the food) and sugar causes inflamation as well. Resveratrol stops inflamation and do does fasting. This is just my 2 cents worth.

Please check for a rapidly growing fibroid. The flow starts like this and then goes on for more number of days and eventually for all days until your next cycle begins!! Please get yourself checked for fibroids.

SAME exact experience nana! It is so annoying. I think I would be more worried if it was thick/smelled. But mine is thin/watery and no odor. What I want to know is where is all this liquid coming from?? ugghh

In all probability it is a large fibroid that is pushing against your uterus, thereby irritating the lining and causing this flow. Please get yourself an ultrasound or an MRI and check for large degenrative fibroids. I suffered for 2 years, not knowing the reason !!!

I too have the exact same thing going on @sfsbhs. I am 36 and my family all goes through early menopause. But I am the only one I think with this HEAVY discharge problem. Dr has said it was hormonal 7 days of heavy period and on the 13 or 14th day of clear discharge. It will last into my next monthly. I have been told I have had vaginosis and to use cream. But every month!? It is ridiculous and uncomfortable. I just wonder what the woman of old use to do in these predicaments? I feel for you all! I am going to look up that website too now.

@sfsbhs...I am in the same boat! I have had this watery discharge start 3 months ago and now it has gotten heavier and lasts all month till period. My period is now heavier due to thiness of watery discharge to go with it so pads are used in a half hour sometimes as soon as it soaks a pad i change. It is horrible. And was wondering if you got any answers since its been over a year. I had a clean pap 10 months ago. Just went for a transvaginal ultrsound and waiting results. Hope to check back with something. Worried and wish it would go away! It makes it hard to go places...

I've had all these symptoms for 1-2 years now myself. Diagnosed with a large fibroid. I'm convinced this is the case for all of the above too. A quick drastic fix is hysterectomy however it can be controlled with diet to reduce the amount of estrogens in the body. The liver can't cope with excess so dumps it.! You need to be strict and continual to fix this problem which is tough if willpower is an issue! Look into possible intolerances in diet and do research for which supplements that can help too. Good luck.

Hi checking back in. I had my transvaginal ultrasound done 4 days ago and everything looked normal. No fibroids, no cysts and ovaries looked normal healthy size. I did have a thick lining of 8 cm which seemed alot but my doc said she has seen it at 14 before and that I was probably due for more bleeding soon. Ugghhh.... I also forgot to ask her about Hyperplasia. She did say however that for now maybe BC could help or a D&C to follow up with because of my bleeding issues in between periods but with watery discharge it makes them a heavy flowing watery nightmare!!

I went in a week ago before Ultrasound for another culture down there and it came back positive with bacteria again! Probably because I can't go nowhere without a pad! And the environment is awful down there. I was put on Flagyl and I hated the side affects but I was having bad odor with the symptoms too now which started during my period last week. So I took the meds. I am now getting the odors back. I figured the meds wouldn't work( have read that alot) to good to be true. I am in a tough situation. I am trying to eat really healthy too! No junk food, on a gluten free diet (cause it helps with my anxiety) and drinking tons of Kefir Yogurt. I am going to try to incorporate onions and garlic lightly sauteed to see if they don't help as well. Also heard cranberry juice too. I read on another post that a DR. said using tampons was better than a pad for the enviroment. I guess it makes sense a little. But tampons are super uncomfortable for me, I have a tipped cervix or uterus one or the other!?

Also I have a friend who has to get Fibroids removed every couple of months and she said she has never had watery discharge! So maybe it is some unknown bacteria or just the treatments for this watery discharge caused by fungis and bacterias don't work anymore and new treatment options should become available. Another post on that forum showed that a girl at the bottom claiming that an old DR. had seen her and finally diagnosed the correct infection she had. It was crazy what she went through to finally find someone who took the time to address her exact needs instead of the same 2 antibiotics out there, for vaginal problems, for everyone....used over and over till the bacteria grow immune..then there is no hope unless you stumble upon a Dr. who really wants to get in there and help YOU! Individual YOU...and my journey goes on...hope to report back with good news and less embarrassment and hiding indoors due to symptoms beyond anyones control.. :( Hope I can help some with these posts and ease some worries.
