I had the exact same problem. Only I have extremely heavy periods but would leak, a colourless, odourless watery fluid that I thought was urine because I drink lots of water and couldn't think of what else it could be. This went on for a couple of years. I had to wait 6 Mia to see a urologist and he couldn't find a problem and thought that it was more gyno related. No infection, no std, nothing came up on any exam. The end result was a large fibroid. I had it removed last week and have had no problems since. A litte post surgery cramping and that is all. Get checked for fibroids. It's life changing not to have to deal with that. I felt disgusting and hated my situation for a very long time.

I have the same problem... It scared me at first... But in my case it is due to a hormonal imbalance... Hypothyroidism... don't be alarmed or bodies do different things if you want to ask another doctor go for it... things will be okay... Stay positive

I am finally getting some relief by reading these stories ladies. I am 39 and i started having this problem about 3 years ago after a series of miscarriages I menstruate for 7 days and after it stops flowing i start experiencing this and it goes on for about 10 day after my menstrual flow. i have to still wear a regular pad after my cycle, then liners because the discharge keeps coming. By the time it leaves completely, it's almost time for my cycle again. It IS very irritating. Thanks for the info about the Leucorrhea, gona look it up. Good luck with ladies.

hi i realise that thisnis over a year late but it might help others.where i come from we are told as girls we shouldn't eat too much of certain foods.like cabbage .cauliflower okra although healthy should be limited to maybe twice a month as they cause excess watery discharge or make u too wet especially when sexually excited.i dnt know the credibilty of this as am not even close to a doctor but women i know swear its true (maybe some element.in those veggies do that).if they have cabbage too often (like the one time my cousin went on the cabbage soup diet lol)) they reported too much wetness.said it felt like they walked around with blobs of mucous rubbing down there.
personally i dnt like either of those vegies so i cant comment
worth a shot looking at ur diets.

False. Women's vaginas are naturally acidic, that's why the bulbourethral glands in the male secretes alkaline substances. Make sperm is alkaline (basic) to protect the from the acidity of the vagina, so that the male gamete can safely travel to the Fallopian tubes where it meets the egg and becomes fertilized. Male's alkaline ejaculation fluid also protects the sperm from the acidity of urine.

I started having this problem after I had my daughter almost 8 years ago. I'm 33 now. Been to the dr with concerns regarding the topic. Never found anything wrong with me. I had a miscarriage this past April. So right then I knew something was wrong. So I ordered for all types of blood work. I had to get to the bottom of it. I have a normal 3-4 day period on a 28 day cycle. On the 10 day of my cycle right before ovulatuon, I start to leak what seems to be urine. I have to wear a pad. A liner is to thin. Every time I moved or walked it would just gush out. It's very disturbing and it kept me from doing many things. Well, a month and a half ago I did the blood work and it came back I had a under active thyroid. Which caused me to miscarriage and to be leaking. Cause leaking isn't normal for those of you saying it is. And not only that, hypothyroidism caused much more problems than just the miscarriage and leak. My hair falls out, I'm always, especially around my period, either crying or moody. My imbalanced hormones cause a chemical imbalance in my brain aswell. The Dr put me on meds for hypothyroidism that I will have to be on for the rest of my life. I have to take every day on an empty stomach at the same time. And although it's been a little over a month taking meds, there hasn't been much to no change on how I feel. Although the leak has died down. It's still there but not like before. So, for you ladies having the same issue, I recommend go getting your thyroid checked out. It could be that it's overly or under active. Hope you guys all the best...

I am a 51 year old who has been a nurse for over 40 years, and I am experiencing this for the first time.  I freaked out at first thinking that maybe it was a symptoms of cancer.   I was pretty sure it wasn't urine.   I have never had regular periods, and in the past 4 years my health has failed and I am on dialysis.  I only make a few TBSP of urine every couple of days, so there is no way it is urine.

I am pretty sure now that I do not need to be concerned, and it is a result of getting closer to menopause and some sort of hormone shift.

I knew about the thicker vaginal discharge that some people monitor to try to determine when they are ovulating to prevent or enhance the change or pregnancy.   I also knew some women squirt a thin watery discharge during an orgasm.  However, this watery discharge post bloody menstruation is a new concept to me.

I appreciate everyone's comments and now I am in less of a panic to go to a doctor, since I already have an appointment next month.   I guess I should have worked at an OB/GYN clinic instead of an acute care setting in a hospital.

I have watery discharge too, ultrasound shows 5 inch oblong fibroid. Doc wants to do hysterectomy. Biopsy says no cancer so at 53 want to do immunotherapy first to see if Mena pause solves it with diet. No pain so I will give it a year. Dr. Lee website has food recommendations and products.

I was told it's due to a drop in progesterone. Often occurring around that age. I was having the same issue.
