Excessive Vaginal Blood Clots.

Ok so I have always had irregular periods and bleeding but just recently there has been something going on that scares me. I have been bleeding since May 07. 2009 and here it is Sept. 10. 2009 and about 5 days ago I stopped bleeding for 1 day and then the next day I started bleeding again but this time it was as if someone cut me open it was not regular period blood and for the past 3 days I have been having these HUGE blood clots or pieces of my insides falling out. I sat on the toilet last night for about 1 hour and every 10-15 min there was another chunk falling out. I have no cramps, no back pain, no dizziness, nothing. When I was younger yes I had a blood clot or two come out while I was in the shower or using the restroom but I havent had that happen to me in about 5 yrs. Now like I said it has been coming out strong so last night I said if it continues tomorrow while at work I will have to do something about it ..... PLEASE help!! I feel so depressed about this considering that I dont like to go to the doctors because I hate to hear that someething is wrong and I may be dieing...... What do you think is wrong?
