so in the last few weeks, or even months, i have 2 external hemmies that swell up after standing or walking for as little as 15 minutes, but on average 30-60 minutes.  when i'm at home I quickly apply some cold witch hazel on a cotton ball and put some ice over that and in 15 minutes they go back down to pretty much nothing again.  even when i sit, they don't seem to swell - only when i stand or walk they slowly pop right back out.  When in a pinch, i just either put some proctozone or vaseline and insert into my bung and then they go back down immediately.  maybe my hemmies are internal/external hemmies...?  i dont know.

I'm afraid that if i stand or walk for too long, that they might swell to a size that i may not be able to treat so easily.

my poop has been nice and soft lately, and i've even purchased the dang squatty potty that i've been using for over a month now.  but even with my easy BMs i still deal with this swelling.  I don't necessarily feel any pain or itching - it's more of a discomfort or just a feeling of grape sized balloon down there.

i used to walk 4 miles a day 3-5 times a week, even just a few months ago.  I was hoping that once i got my diet in order as well as me being all responsible and trying to treat the suckers, that they would calm back down.

anyways - do any of you deal with something similar?  are your hemmie issues a constant daily or even hourly issue?

from what i understand, hemmies only get worse, and i fear that my hemmies are the types that will never go away now.  they will be my daily companions, popping out to say hi everytime i stand up.

i'm so depressed.  i hate hemmies!!!!!!!!!

Exactly the same issue it's killing me , Walking for more than a few blocks and out they come leave's a huge stain in my pants , very embarrassing and it's very depressing , Stopped working ( roofing ) because i can't deal with the discomfort and the smells and stains , Seems doctors all say the same thing  , Metamucil & exercise , this helps nothing , My BM's are regular and this is not the issue , Having a real tough time coping with this wish i could find a cure or even a remedy to stop the swelling .

Having the same issues as well. Maybe something like the HAL procedure would help, by killing off the veins.

thanks for your post. I am experiencing a very similar thing with my hemmis. After a while of standing, usually towards mid-day or the end of the day, they swell more. This has been happening for nearly a year now, and I've been to the doctor and they've done everything but surgery. I don't have any pain and very rarely have bleeding, and my poop is fine. But they swell when I poop and when I stand for too long. Very annoying. But at least they don't really hurt. Was just wondering if you found anything that helped you. thanks!
