I'm actually considering banding one of mine too. I've done a fair amount of other self surgeries to save money and once you get used to it it's not so bad. Also that numbing burn gel is invaluable. Probably TMI but I actually removed a underdeveloped third nipple when I was seventeen , it looks like a mole and is apparently fairly common but I didn't want it
I had my nternal banded, then like 3 weeks later an external developed. Now I'm trying witch hazel 3 days after after external was discovered. I heard and read good things about witch hazel. Will see my Dr who banded me for a follow up post banding in 3 weeks...hopefully by then the witch hazel has worked...if not, will see what Dr says..
What were your results?
Just had this procedure done. ...not fun
I had a hemorrhoidectomy and they got better, but they’re back now. They’re smaller than they were, but painful nonetheless. Did your surgery work the second time? Ita only been two months so I’m devaststed to be facing this again.
Sounds like someone REALLY likes vicadin...
I am suffering from external hemorrhoids since 2012. They, however, do not cause any substantial amount of pain and only get inflamed if I have junk food or red meat and yes I do suffer from chronic constipation. But gradually I have understood it and maintaining a high fiber diet with no red meat and no junk food. And do use the sitz bath as often you can with warm water and Betadine solution and follow it up with a gentle application of Olive oil or coconut oil. It has worked wonders for me and hopefully will work wonders for all. Thanks.
What sort off oil????

I also use lidocaine and do with bath.
Just sharing what I found, and may not apply to all.
Regards.
I had the banding starting in July 2017. I had 6 internal hemorrhoids and had a banding every 2 weeks. The pain from the banding was minimal for the first 36 hours then no more pain. Now I have no further pain.
How did it work for you? I have a friend struggling with then and she is scared of surgery.
lol is this what it really means when I see all those ppl running around with "coexist" bumper stickers? or only if it's on someone's butt!
I had an external one earlier this year and it was super painful. I did get it removed surgically and the followup was also super painful, it hurt for two weeks. I had one before that hurt for a few days and then went away and just left a skin tag and hasnt recurred. The pain recovering from having the external removed was less than the pain of the external hemorrhoid when it was flaring angrily (albeit a totally different kind of pain) so if youve had an external hemorrhoid causing you pain for more than two weeks then Id just get it removed as somehow itll hurt less all else being equal. The recovery sucks and you have to do the sitz baths and all that but I didnt need anything stronger than an ibuprofen during my recovery and I wouldnt say I have a high pain tolerance.
