Thank heavens I'm not the only one! I just started getting itcy legs just this past April when it started getting hot in Florida and I was sweating. As soon as I sweat or as soon as I the water hits my legs in the bath tub - I scratch my legs til they bleed! So far no luck figuring it out. I live in Florida, so good luck getting away from hot humid weather! I'm a 47yr old female and I just got this problem a few months ago! Anti itch cream helps some.
I've got the same thing :'( its terrible .... research on hives .... thats definately it
All,
mine is worse during winter and spring. This is what is helping me: during the winter and spring, petroleum Jelly right after shower before drying out and during summer and fall when the ithes are less...I will use thick lotion. knowing how it feels, prompt me to give you this information. Try it, it should help.
My son used to get the itchies also. Someone told him that he was not getting enough salt in his diet and he started using salt on prepared food and was cured. This means he needed some iodine in his diet.
Thats what happening to you (only in summer time right??) i think its got to do with your elevated heamoglobin (probably over or near 15mg,actually 15mg couldn't be so high but still for some people still high) have a blood test and see.
Wrong products !! This skin disorder has nothing to do with what he/she refer to this ad.
This disorder has NO sign of any skin rush, cracked, tear, or redish in appearance, but just a lean and clear skin, but its itchy.
Specifically, hematocrit and testosterone levels. Elevated hematocrit can result in a release of histamines making you itch. This will happen quite frequently in response to hot showers!
In puberty and adolescents, testosterone levels surge, often resulting in "puffy nipples" in young males, and the accompanying yet transient elevation of hematocrit
i have been living in cold climate place from couple of years and it didnt appear till i stayed there for nearly 5/6 years, but recently i have been moved to humid hot area..and it started within 15 days...i even dont know whats the long term cure..but one thing is sure it is because of hot humid weather.I wish i can buy tenovate ..its expensive and only precribed medicine...
I have suffered from an intense, prickling itch that is not relieved by scratching for the last 8 or so years. It happens within 10 minutes of getting out of the shower, on exposed skin as I am drying or when I have sweat and the sweat is begining to dry (also on exposed skin), the itch usually resolves after 20-30 minutes. I can't use soaps, even the soap-free ones as they burn. Deodorants & perfumes cause rashes & I go into anaphylactic shock if I have any alcohol. I can't wash my hair in the shower as the shampoo running down my back makes me itchy. I take Loratadine (antihistamine) daily. I have Aquagenic pruritis. Basically anytime exposed skin begins to dry the itch starts. Things I have found helpful are moisturizing as soon as I get out of the shower with a dry oil spray, baby oil, coconut oil or a really thick emollient cream. I have recently found an in-shower body lotion that you apply while showering. It helps but doesn't seem to have enough "grunt' & I still have to apply more moisturizer. I now carry a little pottle of coconut oil with me to apply to my arms, legs etc, if I sweat. I hope this post helps someone else & you find some relief.
