i am exactly 1 week late. This past Friday I took a test in the afternoon and it was negative and then I took one Saturday morning and it was negative. I took an EPT test this morning and there was a faint positive line...I took the same brand test a few hours later and then the same thing happend...a faint positive line. So, I bought the First Reponse Test and I took one and it came out negative. Im a week late, my boobs hurt and the veins make it look like there are road maps all over my chest. Im irritable and grouchy. Not to mention my tubes were tied 5 years ago....HELP!!!
Hello! I am not sure if anyone will see this and respond but I am going to give it a shot. I took a pregnancy test yesterday morning and it was a very faint positive. So, I figured that since it was so light I would test again the next morning. Well, this morning I took the test and it said it was negative. I am continuing to have symptoms such as: cravings, urinating frequently, emotional and I have been VERY tired the past week. I am not due for my period for 3 more days but I am EXTREMELY anxious and want to know why I got two different answers :-( I have two boys and never have had this problem before! HELP ME PLEASE! :-/
Ectopic pregnancy is when the egg implants outside the womb ie; the fallopian tube, very serious, life threatening if left, chemical pregnancy, although heart breaking is not the same thing...
I have been off birthcontrol for a month now.. I had my period the week after I stopped. Now I am 5 day's late for my period and my boyfriend and I have been having unprocted sex. I have been having lot's of symptoms. dizzy, breast pain, mood swings fatigue and a heightened sence of smell and little nausea. Last week I had some cramping for one day and like a splas of blood in the morning. I took a test= neg, then last night I took another and it was a very faint positive, then this afternoon I tried a different one and it was neg..... Do you think I could be pregnant or just experiencing side effects from coming off the pill?

Wow....this site is great....and so in encouraging that people are experiencing the same thing! I am 15dpo and have been getting all the usual symptoms spotting 12dpo fatigue, heightened sense of smell, cramps, headaches, nausea, food aversions and my nipples were strangely sore right after I believe I conceived?? I did a test on 11dpo after nearly getting sick when I opened some crackers, cheese and turkey! Plus my daughters lunch smelt like trash and I got that during my 1st pregnancy! Now a very very faint line appeared. I then went and got first response as this brand was a cheap test so next day I got another faint positive. So then next day I got a Clear Blue digital as the lines were not strong enough and we had a night out planned! I did that and it showed positive! I was really happy even though it wasn't necessary planned like our last two. Now I have a sceptical Hubby who wanted me to do another one the next morning and it was another Clear Blue Digital and it came back negative. I then went searching the net and someone mentioned this happening with CB hpt and to rip it open and check the lines! I did this and both had a 2nd line.....not very strong but there! So unless one verged on positive and then the same happened only it swayed to negative? Then this morning I did the First Resp and no line seemed to appear....well a barely there line, but lighter than the others. I'm not due my P till Wed and don't want to waste anymore tests! I'm now worried it was one of those chemical pregnancies and although I got what seemed to be implantation bleed, maybe it's not sticking?? Not sure what this all means but interested to hear how everyone here got on after all the mixed hpt results???

I am in a very similar situation. I have had pregnancy symptoms for over two weeks which come and go. I tested with a First Response digital test last week and it was negative. I decided to wait and test again because I had all the symptoms. So on Sunday Feb 26th I took two Clear Blue HPTs and both had faint positives that showed up quickly but got very light after a few hours (and then very very faint 2 days later). I took another First Response Digital and it was negative but when I tore the test apart there was a faint but very apparent line. I then went and bought a First Response HPT in the afternoon and although my urnine was more dilute there was a faint positive that came up quite quickly. I then took another First Response HPT yesterday morning with FMU which showed a very very faint positive that took longer than the previous test to show up but still within 3 minutes. I then used the same urine for a Clear Blue HPT test which showed up with a strong positive line almost immediately but then got fainter and fainter after 10 minutes (and has completely disappeared by this morning) And then I started spotting later in the morning :((((( I went to a walk in clinic and the doc did a test which was a very very faint positive (so faint that the doc said that nurse didn't know whether to call it positive or not!!). So I then told my doc that I was also spotting so he said I was most probably miscarrying the baby. I will be going for a blood test today to test beta HCG levels over a 3 week period. I don't know what to think but from all my research there is a very small chance that this is not a chemical pregnancy. I am so disappointed :( I will update once I take another HPT or when I get my results from the blood test. If you are still around, please update on how everything went for you! The only ray of hope I am holding onto is that with my son I had spotting for like 3 to 4 weeks ....but the HPTs were strong positives. Sticky baby dust to all!

It sounds like you've all had what is called a chemical pregnancy. I've had two. I've read that as many as 60% of fertilized eggs don't actually implant or don't stay implanted for long. Usually, it's because there is something fundamentally wrong with the egg (chromosomal defects, etc.). However, once an egg is fertilized, your body starts producing hcg (the hormone that pregnancy tests look for). However, when the egg doesn't attach, your body stops producing hcg. This is most likely why some have a positive test and then negative tests. Almost always, a chemical pregnancy will result in a faint positive. Years ago, women would have never known they were pregnant, but with today's sensitive over-the-counter tests, more and more women are facing the heartache of chemical pregnancies.
Yes, I think that's known as an ectopic pregnancy, and I think that's something that's important to try to rule out. It's a good idea to see your doctor for a blood test. Have oyu done that yet?

Hi, I am in my 2nd round of IVF and tested yesterday morning which is day 8 after a 5 day embryo transfer. It came up with a faint positive line. I now tested this morning and it is negative. The IVF journey is hard enough without this. Am I pregnant or not? Did the embryo implant or not?

Hi I took 2 confirm hpt both faint positive 1 darker though went n got bloods taken <2 now all tests negative my last period was early Feb I had sex 17th n 18th Feb am I pregnant or going crazy
