I had my gallbladder taken out 3/15/12.  While I will admit the first few days were a battle, I have never felt better. I feel the same as I did before pre-surgery.  I can't eat greasy foods on cheat days like I used to, but who cares?  I am back to my old self.  To ward off any nausea I had at the beginning, however, I would chew a piece of ginger.  The second day after surgery, I walked for 20 minutes to pass gas and to start having bowel movements (gas passed two days post-suregry , bowel movements came 4 days post-suregry). Also, not saying it made a difference, I was physically active pre-suregry. I worked out 5-6 days a week.   I didn't work out for two weeks after surgery, of course,  but have restarted to workout again.  People's post surgery outcomes are going to be different.  There will always be a small percentage who bounce back completely from surgery.  I am grateful for my surgery.
