Reading all the post have really helped me deal with my crazy withdrawal symptoms.im 40 and I quite a pack a day habit sept 1st 2016 tried the nicotine mint tablets for a few days and then got an e-cig vap 12mg felt pretty good for the first 30 days got the nic down to zero within 40 days, then the withdrawl hit me,not so much a craving but dibilitating headaches, heavy anxiety, swollen throat glans, constipation, loss of appitite, depressed, im lying in bed thinking some fast growing cancer has got me and life is over. I feel like im going crazy, also acid reflux and pressure in my head, not a headache but a pressure that doesnt go away. anyway im thinking its withdrawal after reading all these posts, anyway just wanted to post and let other people know you are not alone, and i'm pretty sure we're not losing our minds,,,just detoxing, stay strong it cant last forever. Congratulations on your quit! These symptoms sound all too familiar. I just celebrated 1 1/2 years smoke free. I still have the occasional craving but stay committed. Not One Puff Ever. NOPE.

Hi, what you did is one of the hardest things ever to pull off. To quit smoking altogether and stay at that is very difficult. Stay strong and sure. You will feel better going forward. Cheers!

Thank you for saving my life! Stopped 1 month ago,am 71yrs old & feel severe indigestion & fatigue beyond belief. Just now reading these 10/25/16, pray you are doing great. I'm retired RN & expected some difficulty but never to this degree. Now I feel like there is hope that I will regain my energy soon. I can barely get out of bed each day now & depression has set in. You have validated my longheld belief, not shared by majority of medical community, that it does indeed take months to physically recover for many individuals.Thank you so much.

I am so thankful for these posts sharing all your experiences. I have been smoke free for 6 weeks now and I feel like s**t!!! For the past week I have been experiencing flu/virus like symptoms that are coming and going everyday, my glands are swollen and my throat is dry and it's sticking around. I've had the depression, shortness of breath, anxiety, panic, acid reflux, dizziness, feelings of despair... it's really harsh!! But I'm so proud of myself for ignoring the little smoking gremlin that has followed me around, telling me to just smoke again and make it all go away.... I'm determined not to go back to life as 'a smoker' ever!!! Keep it up guys... I'm sure it will get better :)
