I've recently detoxed from both methadone and morphine (6-7 weeks methadone/2 weeks morphine) and, while still quite weak, my feet have been uncomfortable throughout . . . mostly a burning, freezing sensation that has yet to really subside. There have been periods where they weren't cold for hours, but it returns. During the worst of the withdrawal, the sensation began higher up my shins and slowly it has moved down until the past few days, it lingers solely on the very bottom of my feet. I figure(d) this was the toxins coming out?
Can this be a by-product of the withdrawal? I am 58 and not very active at all and suspect circulatory issues may be present. I plan to see a professional as soon as I'm feeling "clean" but that's weeks away. Haven't seen one in 25 years, or so.
Having done this "cold turkey" I've scanned the net, but see few mentions of similar discomforts.
Thank you,
Fishy
