I recently went to the hospital because my upper abdomen was in excruciating pain. It turns out that I have very mild alcohol-induced pancreatitis. I was able to go back home after without being hospitalized. 48 hours after the initial pain it is still painful and especially to eat. I heard that pancreatitis will lower appetite but I still get hungry, is there any food that I can eat that won't cause pain, or at least very little pain? I go to university so the food selection is fairly limited. Also I was told to stop drinking alcohol for at least a month and there is a chance that I may not be able to drink it ever again. Being in university I know it will be at least a slight difficulty staying sober 24/7 but I wonder if marijuana affects the pancreas in any way. I do not really care if it helps with the pain or appetite just if it would worsen my condition.
