Well, I would say that "extra" means you don't have a naturally short one, so it's not likely to fix itself if you wait.
Do what many of us have done, keep pulling it back as far as possible. If you do this often enough, the penis head often flares out better and the rim of the head can then "trap" the foreskin behind it. It works easy for some guys, but is a lot of work at first for others. Eventually, most foreskins can learn to rest naturally in the new retracted position. Good luck.
