Hi,
I just visited the doctors yesterday due to a frenulum tear I got last Wednesday It was during intercourse and I bled a lot. It took a couple of minutes to stop the bleeding but about a day or two later I noticed I had bumps all over my penis. I freaked out and unfortunately health services wasn't open so I had to wait till Monday to get an appt. When the doctor looked at it he said it looks like herpes...which lead me to freak out a little. My girlfirend said she doesn't have it and I'm pretty sure I don't either. The test won't come back until the end of this week so we'll see. However, do you have any other idea of what this may be???Here are a few things I noticed: -It hurt to pee the first two days but now it has resided, and that was before i even took the meds- Multiple bumps on my penis with many of them being at the tip. (I'm also uncircumcised There's 2 along the shaft and 3 of them right above the shaft. They started out red and quite itchy and now its starting to scab over and peel off. I've just let it run its course without touching it. -My ripped frenulum is white and it hurts to pull back. There seems to be a bump or cluster of some sort right where the rip stops for now to. It hurt a lot when the doctor took a swab from it too.
As of now I am taking Nystatin and Acyclovir to help with it. However, nothing will be definite until I get the results at the end of the week. This is pretty scary and I would like some more input.
Hi JDD,
The timing, if it is herpes, is about right. It can and does show up very quickly. That you see them scabbing over is another sign that it may be herpes. Depending upon the results of the test you are having done now, I would suggest you repeat it in 3-6 months, just to verify.
The frenulum can take some time to heal completely. The skin is soft and easy to tear. Since you have erections daily, in your sleep for example, the "wound" will get pulled open. Keep it clean and as dry as possible.
Your partner may not even know if she has herpes. She should also get tested, as a precaution.
Good luck.
Thank you for the insight. However, if it's not then what else could it be?
I can't speculate.
Most STD's take longer to show any signs. Even most other infections don't usually show that quickly. Herpes is somewhat unique in that respect.
Keep us posted and good luck.
did you ever work out what this is as i have the same thing going on and im worried
