Supposedly had my gallbladder removed in June 2015 (3 years ago) and now I'm finding out that my gallbladder may be growing back. Still waiting for a scan to be scheduled. Weird though, my pain is now more on the left side and I have gained weight and feel bloated all the time, especially right after a meal. Just thankful I did not have a heart attack even though the thoughts of another surgery for gallbladder angers me.

I had my gallbladder removed in 2005. Now in 2017, I am experiencing gallstone symptoms. An ultrasound shows a gall bladder with stones, also present in a 2014 CT scan for another problem. Doctors say its impossible to grow a gall bladder back. I'm trying to find out exactly whats going on.

Hoping you didn't have itvtemoved again if it grew back. Look more closely at the food you are eating. Consider adding more healthy fats, less sugar, less processed or fast foods, more whole foods, real food. For more info, check out Dr. Berg's YouTube videos and blog regarding gallbladder and digestive issues. Good luck and God bless....

Thank you for this explanation. I had my gallbladder out 3 years ago because I also had a lesion on my liver. Last year I had "a urinary infection" , which funnily enough was exactly the same as when I had my 3rd op in 10 days when they found they had left 2 large gallstones in my bile duct. I have recently had 2 further episodes of EXCRUCIATING pain in the same region and after scans have been told there is a further stone in my Bile duct

I’m having this issue. I feel it is a gallstone in my bile duct. They swear it’s my gallbladder that was removed three years ago...they see a fluid filled sac....my opinion....blocked by a stone.....backed up infection/fluid like a hose would be. Now a CT scan. My question....how come I realize this but the Drs dont?

Is gall stones regrowth possible even if there is no gallbladder? My mom had gallbladder removed in 2012, and right now she's in the hospital. Doctor said there are stones again growing inside. Is it more dangerous now?
