Gallbladder Symptoms With Normal Tests

yes insist on ultrasound of gallbladder -it is cost efficient- non invasive- and fool proof- i had mine removed 2 years ago after 2 months of hospital stays for heart, lung, muscle issues all wrong

Have your doctor order a HIDA test. Your gallbladder may be low functioning.

Hi guys! I had the worst pain in my upper right side for 3.5 months with all normal tests (ultrasound, CT scan, endoscopy, colonoscopy, etc) but had all of the symptoms of gallbladder problems. I got a HIDA scan and the doctor said it was normal although it was scored higher than the normal range which I guess doctors don't always realize is somewhat abnormal as well. I was vomiting after I'd eat anything and the pain was so bad I would hit the ground and just scream for an hour. Eventually I was able to talk to a surgeon who said based on symptoms, he would remove my gallbladder. Pathology revealed it was quite infected. I've been better ever since!! I went through 6 doctors for almost 4 months before I got somebody would help me. Good luck guys!

how arebyou doing now? Did your gall bladder show stones???

My daughter had the exact same symptoms for almost 3+ years and the Drs. kept saying they could not find anything wrong with her. (this was in Hawaii by the way. an she was also 13 when problem started) When we got back to the states, San Jose CA to be exact, and finally South Lake Tahoe, CA the Drs said it was all in her head and that maybe she was just looking for attention. The kind of pain she was in NO WAY! So again I took her to another Dr., my Dr.! He tried something different. He gave me a lab slip, and said that when she had and attack to go to the lab no matter what time of the day or night it was. He wanted to get these certain set of labs when she was accurally have one of her stomach pain attacks. When the result came back it was amazing, and not in a good was either. Her liver enzyme numbers were off the chart, as were so many of the other test results. But when he looked at the previous Drs. same test result when she WAS NOT having an attack her labs were just about normal. So it just goes to show you that it only takes one to find whats wrong with you. The only problem is it might be a c**p shot if you find that special one, fortunately I did. I hope or maybe not, I am not sure if I should hope she has something wrong or not. But if that would solve your ordeal just to know your not crazy then maybe just knowing helps. I know it did with my daughter Heather, because she thought she was going nuts being in pain all the time and the last Dr saying it was all in her head.  I hope I helped some, have a nice day. Did you get your Gallbladder removed. Your story is the same as mine. Do you feel better?

I have been looking online to see what is the "normal" range of time that the gallbladder contracts to push out the bile after you eat a meal???? Can it be as long as 8 hours and what would the shortest time be.

It is by no means fool proof.

Hi I was Dignosed on the 15th October I had an abdominal scan was having sore ribs lower back pain came back that I had a gallbladder pylp have to see a surgeon 12 January. I've had two blood works done in the past month tests was all normal my urine sample wasn't it turned Out that I had a upper kidney infection pain in my sides. I've been so run down been taking mouth ulcers for the past 2 months can't get rid Of them I've 7 Ulcers plus One at the back Of my throat very painful. But I'm having these episodes 3 weeks ago 2 weeks ago didn't feel right was Out had to come home to go to bed it wiped me Out and now I've lost my appetite. Dr thinks you don't have gallbladder symptoms I've a small pollo so now I'm thinking am I going crazy my last blood works was normal Got another set Of bloods taken these bloods will probably not show anything what's that mean it's all In my head. I to have fibromyalgia. I'm now being sick after I eat sum thing and very gassy hard to go to the toilet at times. Pain Over gallbladder site cause I wasn't screaming in pain didn't mean to say that I wasn't it was sits tender to the touch shoulder blade pain lower middle back

Fatigue and dizzyness to the fatigue is so Chronic is it all fibromyalgia Or am I going away in the head Dr thinks I could have an ulcer acid cause Of my mouth Ulcers I don't have acid and stupid Dr put me On Ranitdine and I can't take them with my pain meds will effect my stomach more Dr didn't even look to see the meds I was On before he disctribed these tablets to me.

I'm 21 weeks pregnant and noticed the pain at 10 weeks, it started on my right side just under the breast, the pain came on here and there. Now the pain radiates my whole right side as well as in between my shoulder blades. Ultrasound came back normal but they still said to eat bland and low fat. Nothing they can do while pregnant anyway. How did it all turn out for you?

I would be thrilled to have my gallbladder out and end this misery, although the weight loss is welcome. But my ultrasound and HIDA were "normal" (97 percent normal? Really) so they're going to have do a bunch of other tests and they still may go there.

Hey there. It could be gallbladder disease. That's what I had. I had this horrible pain but all my tests kept coming back negative . I had surgery though and I haven't had the pain ever since. You may want to talk to your docter about gallbladder disease.
