Hi I am Jayson and this is my first time here in this forum. I have eating disorder since I entered college life. Being far from home, far from my parents, in which nobody takes care of my food, for breakfast, lunch and even dinner. Certain things came up my mind, specially about my health. But having an eating disorder didn't really stop me from doing anything I want, and even urge me to do something better for myself. Can you imagine someone being gratefull from having such disorder like mine? Well, you need to read this story I'm about to give you, I am quite inspired and I know you will too..
High Jason:
First, congratulations on making it to college. I know that your family is proud. Secondly, think about how much your family sacrificed to get you there. If you never had to worry about your meals, that probably means that you have people who are rooting for and have taken good care of you. Try to imagine how they would feel if you had to leave college because you developed a full fledged eating disorder because you weren't taking care of yourself. It may not seem serious to you right now, but don't let this thing creep up on you before you know it. This is an opportunity for you to step up and learn more about the importance of nutrition. I have two sons in college, so I know how that can be. I was in college a while back to. It's hard to eat right. Don't throw away your success now...You've come to far. Google the term, "Food Pyramid." You will see what your daily nutritional plan should be. You should also see what the consequences of not taking care of yourself can be. You might be surprised. Love your family back by taking care of yourself. I know that you can do it. Best wishes and congratulations again. :-)
