I am going to be 30 next month and my hair is more gray than black. Why is that? I think I am too young to be gray.
I’m also 30 and have had white hairs on my head since I was 19! It is simple the hair begins to lose the pigment melanin. It is the same stuff that makes our skin's color fair or darker, so the dark or light color of someone's hair depends on how much melanin each hair contains. As we get older, the pigment cells in our hair follicles gradually die, so when there are fewer pigment cells in a hair follicle, that strand of hair will no longer contain as much melanin and will become a more transparent color like gray, silver, or white.
I am going through the SAME THING! I am super vain when it comes to my hair...because I book a lot of jobs as a hair model. I just turned 30 and I have gray hairs EVERYWHERE. My parents did not go gray until their 40's. So I've done HOURS of research. Here is my action plan.
I am getting my Thyroid tested
I just purchased liquid minerals with copper, iodine, and iron.
Also, Melan plus for women and I'm taking vitamin taking B12. I'll tell you if it works!
