Hi Tomo
That depends whether you had sex on a fertile day or not. You haven't given much information!
- What date is your next period expected to start?
- How long i your cycle (typically 28 days)
- What other dates did you have sex since your last period? You said: "iv been having unprotected" (presumably meaning unprotected sex)
Anytime you have sex there is the possibility of pregnancy following, especially unprotected sex
Hi again I was using a tracker to track my period and when I was fertile or not. But then it started to get way off, So anyways my last cycle was nov 14th to 18th and I was sexual active on the 26th to the 29th which are the days I was fertile and my next prediction cycle to start is December 12th to the 16th. My question is could I possibly have to take a test, I used the NuvaRing and for some reason I thought I had it on for a week but I'm guessing it fell out because I found it under the bed. The first time I got it the doctors but it in for me but when I had to change it I guess it didn't stay, so just wondering if the day I had unprotected sex which was Nov 26th to the 29th would I need to take a pregnancy test or is it too soon
Hi Lunar22
- It is certainly too soon to take a test.
- You say 'Hi again', but I cannot remember when you might have made a previous posting, so I can only go on what you have said here.
- By "my last cycle was nov 14th to 18th" you would mean "my last period was Nov 14th to 18th". Likewise "my next prediction cycle to start is December 12th to the 16th." would mean "my next prediction period to start is December 12th to the 16th". That would indicate a typical cycle of 28 days (14th Nov - 12th Dec). That would certainly indicate that 26th - 28th Nov were fertile days.
- However you said "I was using a tracker ... then it started to get way off". That being so your tracker's predictions may well be off. So please can you state your July to September period start dates.
- In the event that a pattern cannot be established, then 21 days after your last sex would be a suitable time to test.
- Also, please would you state the dates you had the NovaRing inside you.
23 Jul to 16 Aug = 24 days; 16 Aug to 20 Sep = 35 days
Your earlier actual (and predicted) period starts (before July - as many as you know) would be interesting, because it may well be that your tracker was not unreliable. Trackers track your actual periods and use that information to predict the next one (using averages).
It may be that your sex was not in a fertile period - if your cycle were 24 days or 35 days!
However, until your period has failed to arrive within 21 days of your last sex, you cannot be certain of a reliable negative result.
I hope this helps, if you need more explanation, just ask.
age:23
Method: Pull out (No ejaculation(finish) inside.)
Last period: Nov9-Nov17
Assumed ovulation day: Nov 23
Date of sex: Nov 29
Next expected period: Dec 7 (No bleeding as of yet)
Main issue here is my periods are never the same length of time and rarely ever on the expected date, so I have no idea what my cycle is. I'm guessing somewhere between 28-33 days are the most common. I don't believe I am pregnant but I wanted to doubt check the odds.
If your OD were 23 Nov, then 29 Nov would not be a fertile day. But why did you assume OD to be 23 Nov? That seems to indicate a typical 28-day cycle.
If 28-33 day cycles are 'most common', then a 34-day cycle would not be out-of-the-question. A 34-day cycle would make OD to be 29 Nov - a very fertile day, and the pull-out method is not reliable.
Do you know your period start dates for this year?
