Wow, this helped me with my problem. After reading it I went to look at my lotion and it is a skin firming bronzing moisturrizer lotion. Will stop using it and see what happens. Thanks sooooo much, I was starting to be a little freaked out.

I'm so seeing if this has a thing to do with radiation in the ocean. Did anyone get the discoloration after swimming in the Pacific Ocean, Hawaii, California, etc?

I recently noticed the same darkening between my fingers where meet my hand. I found that this is a symptom of Addisons disease. That is an auto-immune disorder related to your adrenals. If you have an auto-immune disorder then you are always at high risk of having others. I have Hashimotos and my adrenals were of when we tested a few years ago. Just thought I would throw this out there, I have a doctors appointment in a few days. It really is no surprise that auto-immune disorders are on the rise, our bodies just can't keep up with the c**p we put in them and are exposed to.

My brother developed these browish rusty colored stains on his hands.  They always appear when he wakes up in the morning. I found a site that talks about Hemosiderin staining.  It usually occurs as a byproduct of the breakdown of red blood cells. It says that the build up is usually a compound used by the body to store iron....it might be a cause of concern.

Go see a doctor...I'm still trying to convince my brother to go.

Good luck

I woke up this morning with stained fingers. There is some discoloration around a few nails. It is brownish orange color. I couldn't remember what I did the night before that could cause it. I found online that this may happen for people who have hypothyroid. I was diagnosed having underactive thyroid a few months ago and I am on medication right now. So it could be it

Did you eat or handle peppers? it seems to be a common thing after handling red or yellow or green peppers, or eating them - some kind of fungus

I have the same thing, I am not a smoker, and I don't even notice that it is there until I have reason to look at my hands. The skin is not different than the surrounding areas other that the darker discoloration. strange.

Hey all

i have had the same problem these marks keep coming back they are on/ off for me related to drug abuse . It's a side effect of drug intake. The other reason is deficiency of certain vitamins. The drugs damage  your liver so pls stop please increase your intake of water and start popping multi vitamins regularly .
