What is wrong with these ignorant unprofessionals so called "DOCTORS" and the pledge they took to "do no harm"? I am so sick of our lazy negligent medical professionals talking to a patient in this manner, this is a growing problem as doctors do not want to hear the patients complaints esp with female patients.
I absolutely agree! I'm in the UK and most of the so called doctors I go to just ignore me and try to rush me out of their office. I had enough of this. Btw I am here because I have the same hard lump below my left collar bone and I had an X-Ray and it's changed in size. GOoung to ask the GP for a biopsy. So scared.
I just found your post and from all the possibilities I read about what the lump I just developed could be, yours nailed it. My doctor could not explain for sure what it was because the X-ray did not show anything nor could he explain why it developed. But I copied and pasted your comment above and sent it to him and he said YES, THIS is what I have. Thank you! (I also have DDD---miserably painful)
Hi Sarah I know this comment was from an over year ago but I would like to know if you ever found out what it was. Is it still there? I am 22 and I have a lump in this area as well however it is not visible to the eye but you can feel it if you touch it
I think you are following this too far, just leave it now st your age anaesetic is more dangerous for you, side effects memory loss dementia, you are not sick because of it so accept your previous diagnosises you could be causing a lot worse
Hi I'm 27 and have this same problem with back pain , shoulder blades and lower neck don't know what it it is but have it a while
I also found a lump at the sternoclavicular point. It is about the same size as a quarter. I am a breast cancer survivor and this scared me. After an MRI and a CAT scan and an ultrasound of my thyroid, it is said to be arthritis. Seems like an unusual place for arthritis to me, but three doctors have told me that is a very common place for arthritis since it is a joint. They did find several nodules on my thyroid and I was told I have a goiter. But I will be having a fine needle biopsy to make sure I don't have thyroid cancer. Hope this information helps.
I have same problem now for 4 weeks done ultrasound and catscan not resoult yet have no idea what that is.
My mother also has the same the same case. Its been almost 10 months since she notice it . At first she's having a hard time in moving her shoulder most especially when she's changing her clothes, she said that sometimes it's also painful but eventually the pain will subside,. Then months later, she consult a doctor and she had her x-ray done but the doctor said that theres nothing wrong, that its just the nerve so the doctor give her a nerve medication but its been 5 months and yet the lump is still there. I'm worried and scared at the same time.
Hi Sherri, I have fibromyelga also and noticed this lump and it affecting my swelling making me choke. One said it's arthritis another said oh it just a bone. It's concerning me because it itches and chokes me .I don't know what to do next.
Yes I have. Interesting. And who would put these two things together.
Make an appointment with a doctor. Hopefully the doctor can put your fears to rest.
My doctor said the same and is sending me for an x-ray to be sure no fracture. I have no pain.
Hi, Gene, my name is Lucy! It is July 12th, 2017. I pray that you are doing well because I've noticed that all of the concerns I'm reading are from a year ago. I am also a 61 year old female. I went to see my Rheumatologist today because I am experiencing what everyone else is experiencing the lump on my clavicle/collarbone with pain from my head to my toes. Mostly on my right side: Hair falling out, swelling, tingling, numbness, back of my head hurts, neck hurts, shoulders hurt, legs, arms, hard to walk sometimes when I get up from my bed, weakness... you name it... it hurts! Every now and then I pain on the left side as well. NOT NEARLY AS MUCH AS THE RIGHT SIDE! I had a CT CHEST WITHOUT CONTRAST and an X-ray CHEST, PA and LATERAL where the lump is located. The doctor says that the X-ray Impressions were negative and the CT scan showed small bilateral thyroid nodules on my thyroid. He said that more tests are needed. He wants me to have a colonoscopy as well. However, I need to tell him that I had a colonoscopy back in October of 2016. NOW WHAT? He's ordering more lab work as well. The only reason I am concerned about the lump is because of the pain. It doesn't hurt to touch the lump... I just experienced pain. What kind of doctors do you visit? You said you saw three different doctors. Would you please give me the name of those type of doctors? I was reading the medicines I take and the side effects you won't believe! The effects to the medicine I believe cause most of this because my side effects are mostly everything I have experienced. I need to share this with the doctor as well; but we are still puzzled by the lump. God wills, I am going to call my thyroid doctor tomorrow to explain this to him. To everyone who is reading this, I would love your feedback. God bless you all; and no matter what, GOD'S GOT THIS! ❤
I too have the lump on my clavicle and and when I went to the bone and joint doc he had me do a scan and then said it was nothing to worry about but might never go away. I was getting a cortisone shot in my hip from a doc that does nothing but shots, and showed it to him, and he said he could give it a shot to reduce inflammation, which he did. It helped, and I got another one a few months later. It's my dominant hand, and I play racquet sports, so I think it's just irritated and possibly a bit arthritic, but nothing to worry about. Does surprise me that some of you are in your 20's, as I am 61 and more worn out!
