I have one friend who told me he’s a hardgainer. I know something about that, but off course I want to find out more. Can anyone explain that to me? I want to know what actually hardgainer is and how to recognize him? How can I know if someone is overtraininig?
Hardgainer is genetically typical person if there is such a thing at all. That means he or she is born with no special genetic gifts which enable them to pack on muscle mass quickly. Those people cannot gain lots of strength by using volume training. Impressive gains those people can make using less frequent workouts with considerably less volume. We can guarantee there are some people, probably just a few lucky ones that can make great gain. Those hardgainers need only 4-6 days per week using split routines and lots of hours in the gym as the pros do. If someone is hardgainer is hard to answer. It depends on physical measurements such as wrist/ankle size etc. Hardgaines have much less tolerance to exercise then of easy gainers. Overtraining occurs when someone train body beyond its ability to recover. Symptoms are high resting pulse, illness become frequent and last longer then usual, shaky hands, loss of sleep and appetite etc.
