Has anyone successfully quit using Meth on their own without a recovery center? I would like very much to quit smoking meth but I cannot go into a recovery center at this time because I cannot afford to pay someone to take care of my husband who is totally disabled.
I was sober for 13 yrs after sobering up on my own. I relapsed after a death in the family (same trigger as the first time) I did it on my own but I also completely shut down for roughly 2 wks. I was only awake to eat, shower and use the restroom. I also don't remember that period of time other than bits and pieces. It's very challenging. I can't imagine doing it while providing care for another person. I lived alone but had a dog. He was my rock. But he was also well trained, as I couldn't even step outside the front door of my apartment to take him on walks. I'd open the door, watch from the window and he came back on his own. He was very watchful over me. It can be done but I can't imagine having to look after someone else while doing so as I was practically narcoleptic. And the lingering exhaustion lasted for several months. At the very least I would look into out patient care for the withdrawals. When I quit I had only been using consistently for about 3 months and it was still the most difficult challenge of my life
Can someone who has been binging on meth for the past 5 years, top on their own without outside help? Any advice on withdrawal?
