Hi Fairest! What you are talking about is actually called Vaginal Bleeding, it isn't very common, but it definitely happens! It usually goes away after the 1st trimester! It is called "Vaginal Bleeding" because technically you CANT have a period while you are pregnant! So this bleeding is caused by increased hormones - such as Progesterone and Estrogen! So this is why there is bleeding! Hope this answers your question!
