Just curious, have you been testrd for meningitis? I had the same feeling in 2005. Severe migraines & nausea. I recieved a spinal tap that indicated I had bacterial meningitis. I was treated for 5 days on antibiotics & pain meds then released.

I've had the burning sinus issue (just had it now, which prompted me to Google it) and burning migraines since I was in my late teens. I had scans and whatnot, and when I went to a neurologist he recommended I see a psychologist. I gave up after that.
I was put on a medication used to treat seizures, and it worked pretty well. I stopped taking it when I was removed from my parents' insurance, and I just deal with it. It's not debilitating for me unless I get a migraine.

I am 62 year old female just experiencing these symptoms when blow drying my hair and was bent over. I certainly was debilitated for several minutes and haven't felt well the rest of the day. I am a nurse and really expected a nose bleed. It never came. The severe burning subsided but a soreness lingers. Strangest thing ! I sure hope it never happens again. Made my eye hurt and water as well on the affected side.

I am about to turn 60, and have also suffered migraines since in my teens. The clorine type burning began 3-4 years ago, yet not always hand in hand with the migraines. The burning does tend to bring on days of sneezing bouts, not constantly for days (of course), but in waves. Sinus and ear pain and constant drainage has also plagued me since a small child. Mom was told I would outgrow it. I did most of the inner ear pain, but that seems to have returned with a vengeance these last 6 months or so. The burning doesn't seem to come from any particular action on my part, it just comes on as it pleases. As one of you mentioned about not going to the doctor. I have given up on that as well. I don't like testing all the different meds, nor do I like being told there is nothing wrong, and even worse, "it's probably just a part of your aging process". I'll keep checking back here with hopes SOMEONE finds and answer.

The same thing happened to me this morning! Blow drying my hair upside down (I'm also a nurse go figure) and out of nowhere it was like I had pool water in my sinuses. Its been a few hours and that initial pain is over but soreness and irritation lingering. Did this ever subside for you???

Mine comes and goes, it's crazy. Like you, sometimes just drying my hair, bending way over to pick something up can bring it on. At times it will linger long enough that I end up with a sinus infection. One became so out of hand, that I looked as if I had a huge tumor growing under my jaw. I could actually see it jiggle as I walked. An antibiotic was prescribed and it along with the burning went away. The doctor said not to ever let it get that far again. What do you do though? The burning seems to be in my head until there is a huge flair up from it. No one ever seems to want to address the symptoms prior to the onset. I went to an ear/nose/throat specialist only to come home feeling like I had wasted his day. I'm so frustrated. Have you seen a doctor since yours began burning?

wow. I just read you info. you gave on phagocytes and chloro generated by MOH peroxide -chloride system. I clean my teeth and mouth with peroxide by swishing a mouth full 2x fr about 30-40 seconds which in itself creates a burn. I rinse it out and use foride tooth paste afterwards. Later that night I used my nelly pot to clean out my nose with just tap water(I couldn't find the salt solution) wow! I got a serious burn in nose, ears, and head and it also felt like some burning electrical shocks too!

I have this too like you say, bending over to pick stuff up is what triggers mine, or laying down. I am trying to figure out what causes this but doctor has no idea. Have you flown on a plane since getting these sensations? I'm worried about the pressure changes from flying if such a tiny thing like bending over causes such pain.

I have been dealing with this since my teenage years and I am now 41 and still have the same problem especially if dive straight down headfirst it's at its worst. what I have determine is that this is a severe yeast infection in the sinus cavity as well as beneath the scalp this same yeast infection appears in young teenage years for boys and the ladder teenage years for girls. I have done what is called ear candling and I have extracted massive amounts of yeast from my inner ear. As you extract from your ear, more yeast will fall down at as you continue to do the ear candling. This is the same yeast that causes thinning of the hair and or balding.

This just happened to me about 15 minutes ago. I wonder if anyone has found an answer to this mystery?

I started having this pain a year ago, burning in my left eye and sinus like when you breath air that is too cold or inhale chlorine that got worse when I bent over. It came on suddenly, so I went to the ER only to be given ibuprofen. The pain continued, so I went to an ENT and had a sinus scope done. Nothing. So I went to a neurologist and had an MRI. Nothing. Then, at my annual optimology appointment, I was told that my glasses prescription had changed quite a bit, and my left eye was straining. A few weeks after I got the new glasses, the constant pain subsided, and now I only get it occasionally. However, when the pain started, I was a senior in highschool who got a really late start applying to college and it was a very stressful time for me. When I got the new glasses, I had just graduated and been accepted into college, so I was no longer completely stressed out. Because both happened at the same time, it’s unclear which one was the cause/cure or whether it was a combination of the two, so I highly suggest you get your vision tested often and evaluate/manage your stress levels. I still do get the pain occasionally, but not as severe and not nearly as often. When I do, I’m able to just sleep it off. It’s hard to believe that stress could cause something like this, but it really can do crazy things to your body. My friend has conversion disorder which causes her body to process stress in a physical way, in her case, she can’t walk without a walker. It can last for days or weeks, but when her stress passes, she returns to walking perfectly. Hope everyone is able to find what helps them.
