I am a 38 year old female, and have been having pvcs for about 4years now. It began close to 10 years ago with sinus tachycardia. My heart rate was between 146 and 220 beats per minute. I was given a beta blocker, and that worked to slow my heart down. These pvcs are so upsetting. It feels like I am going to die, even though the doctor has said they are benign. I am so tired because I can't get adequate sleep at night. I lay down and the pvcs go crazy. I can't lay propped up either. The only position I can get any rest in is laying on my right side, but even that doesn't always work. I just try to maintain a healthy lifestyle, getting daily exercise and taking vitamins etc. I am comforted to know that there are others out there who know how scary this is and that I am not crazy.

OK you teen are so dramatic. if you really wanna see wats wrong with you go see a cadiologist. and if there shity like they are here they will tell oh you have mitral valve prolapse. and yours is kinda bad and can most likely cause heart failure... oh but i dont wanna give you any meds... i want you to endure your pain. so go ahead have them tell you something like that while you have your 8 month old son on your lap. :-(
Im 17 turning 18 years old and I was diagnosed with PVC's and asthma at birth. I've been having sharp chest pains for the past three years and BOTH my heart doctor and my lung doctor don't know what's causing it. I used to get a heart monitor every year, now I get one every two years, and lately I've been getting heart flutters. All the doctors are going to give you is pain meds and send you home. I now have a standing perscription for 800ml of Motrin to lessen the pains. However, my cardiologist doesn't want to put me on heart medication because I'm so young so it's reaching that two year mark and I'm hoping he'll change his mind and give me some medication now that I'm a little bit older.

Hello, I'm a 20 yr old male, I'm in the coast guard and prior to enlisting I had found out I had PVC's. And well I have the same sharp "stabbing" pain in my heart. It's starting to happen every day. Especially since I started working out more and my anxiety levels have been going up due to trying to keep my family afloat an trying to land a better job in the military. My mother is concerned and is telling me to try to relax more and to dull down my work out schedule to relieve stress. If anyone finds out actual way to help please let me know.
Hi! I have been having sharp chest pains but they aren't localized to the heart region. So I don't know if this will help but there is a post on the second page that talks about precordial catch syndrome which sounds a lot like that. Hope this helps!

Hi, I'm 17 and everyone thought I was crazy for having pains like this. My pain jabs into the left side of my heart, and makes it so its hard to breathe. It got so bad that I passed out at a baseball game. No one knows what I'm talking about
I am currently 13 years old and I have the same problem, but my parents say it's nothing and won't get me checked out.
it just happened to me not one minute ago i was crying it hurt so bad
I forgot to mention im sixteen
Say Kiddo, DO NOT LISTEN to your Mom. YOU HAVE TO GET this checked out. Don't worry about insurance or weather it is going top hurt. Go to an ER ( NOW ) Your heart is screaming at you that something is DEADLY WRONG. They will put you through a battery of test and a cardiologist will review your case. It is not as uncommon as it used to be for someone your age to have a heart problems. So PLEASE have it checked out as soon as possible. I was in the medical profession for many years. You need to do this if not only for your life, but for your family. I'm sure they would hate to be at your graveside saying I wish I had listened to her.
