i am another victim of anxiety attacks from using NO-Xplode. I was on it pretty hardcore before and during my last deployment, but then out of nowhere i would wake up sweating and breathing hard with my heart pounding. Pretty scary really, and it lasted for some time. I had been off the product for about 10 months before i decided to give it another go but with lower doses (one scoop instead of two) and it seemed to be working alright until recently when the same things would happen again.
As of last night i flushed the remainder of the container down the toilet and have sworn off these kind of supplements altogether. im 6'5/230... seems that size doesnt matter when it comes to the psychological effects of this product.

I hate that no-xplode has had such an awful effect on people and I wonder what it is that causes all this trouble. I theorize that it could be caffeine--an overdose can cause a lot of anxious effects. Does that sound plausible?

PEOPLE, I usally drink 5-6 cups of coffee a day and I have no side effects whatsoever I believe it is other ingredients inside these supplements and Im willing to bet money on that. I have started taking NO Shotgun yesterday but before that I was taking Myoshock from Muscletech and I was have a little bit of rapid heart beats but nothing bad or annoying. But since I took onl half a scoop of NO Shotgun I have been having irregular heartbeats but mostly rapid heartbeats.. Im wondering do these side effects go away once your off the supplement?

I had a similar case with the anxiety and heart palpitations. I was also going through a lot at the time so I think it was a combination of the NO Xplode and crazy amounts of stress. I had panic attacks and was scared of using NO Xplode anymore. Its been about a year since then, and now I use White Flood instead of NO Xplode. Its never given me the bad side effects that NO Xplode did. I want to try NO Shotgun too.

I might have some answers for those of you who've been wondering about NO xplode/anxiety/other stimulants.

I have a diagnosed case of ADHD and am prescribed concerta (54mg) and welbutrin (uhh). Never had a real problem with either one, except for the "readjustment" period I go through after going through a summer of not taking either one (it's a typical adjustment for any psychostimulant). After that it's home free.

NO xplode I discovered maybe almost 3 years ago, my roommate turned me onto it. I had been taking the concerta for awhile now at this point, and I had also been a fair consumer of various energy drinks (I was an energy drink hound). I'm a pretty small frame too, about 5'7 at 135 lbs.

I stopped the energy drinks (seriously if you need energy drinks on top of NO xplode you have issues) but continued the concerta while taking the NO xplode. I was careful about the stacking of concerta and NO xplode so I started small at 1 scoop. Talk about a rush, truly this was the perfect combination for getting s**t done, I'd lift and run in the morning and just plow through my academic work for the rest of the day. I started my days at 5AM and ended at 7PM, I was just unstoppable.

Wondrous results too, I never crashed off the NO xplode, no heart palpitations, nothing out of the ordinary. Of course while I ran and did extremely heavy lifts my heart would pump insanely, but nothing that you wouldn't normally associate with intense training. The down sides? The typical NO xplode sh**s 15 minutes after you take it occurred (again, this is normal) and because of the concerta and NO xplode interacting, after my work outs and during my day I had a very "ridged machine" feeling. For those of you who take psychostimulants for ADHD, remember the first time you tried your first "effective" dose? It was intense right? Like everything suddenly becomes high definition, from black and white to HD, from mono sound to 7.1 surround sound from bose speakers, and you could think of nothing but to get some sort of work done? Imagine this in a very 'focused' line. Machine feeling is the best way to describe it. As long as you don't mind it, it's not a problem.

Anyhow. I do have some bad news (possibly).

This past spring, towards the end of the semester I had a panic attack (this is 3 years later). I wrote it off as some moronic kid OD'ing on caffeine because of finals season. I had another one before the semester ended but it wasn't that bad (not enough to make me investigate into it). However, during the summer, well after I had weaned off and completely stopped both the NO xplode and concerta, I started having a series of panic attacks (very few at first but as time progressed more frequently). Additionally something went wrong with either my prostate/bladder/kidney (we're still looking into this) and caused UTI/prostatitis like symptoms. Which when paired with the random panic attacks, it made my summer a living hell. There was no caffeine intake either at this time (no need during summer, and I was far past the typical withdrawal time frame). It's gotten better and we're investigating it, but for now I carry a bottle of xanax with me JUST INCASE a panic attack occurs and I avoid caffeine (a cup of coffee one day during the summer seemed to destroy me into a panic attack/urological symptoms worsened for about week) like it was a leper. Obviously I didn't start back up on the NO xplode this semester but have been successfully taking concerta with no issues.

One thing to note:

*I have been slightly irresponsible with the supplement. I don't believe I cycled off of it properly within those three years, I'd cycle off during the winter break and then start back up for the next semester. During the summers, I'd take it here and there for random work outs (but not really consistently). I never exceeded more than 3 scoops, in-fact during my time using the supplement, had found that 3 scoops paired with the concerta was just a little TOO much. My average was about a scoop and a half to two scoops per session.

*There is a chance now I might be caffeine sensitive/allergic from taking it for so long. I don't know how valid this is but I have a few doctors looking into it.

bottom line. exercise extreme caution. it sucks having to avoid caffeine and to carry a pill of xanax in your pocket just in-case. i'm fully confident i'll rebound, but no body should have to endure what i've had to over the summer till now.

I went through the same thing with NO I developed these constant tremors especially when I am uptight and it feels like I cant handle any amount of stress! I used to be able to handle just about anything! All of this started while taking this mess. I have been put on Celexa to try and calm myself down...I worry about the stupidest things now. Are you 100% now?

Back in 08 I went to the emergency room with my heart rate would go up and down to 120-140 during a 4 hour cycle. Scariest thing I've ever dealt with. I got diagnosed shortly after with panic attack disorder. I too was on no explode. I'm a 5'11 male about 210 and have been an avid lifter my life. It started at 36. It as been 5 years and I deal with symptoms weekly and can't fix the physical symptoms. I truly believe it has never been mental and tied to noexplode. I can't believe a law suit has not been started. This has changed my life and not for the best. I hate the feeling when it happens and now struggle with depression. I hide it from everyone and try to stay positive. It's unfortunate this supplement has affected all this way. Cheers, Jim

I tried the Dark Rage. Never again. Got super dizzy and got the dry heaves and felt really cold and shaky. I'm not going to use it again. I think just good food and a vitamin suplement will do just fine.

Darkpark,
How are you doing? How long did it take your body to correct the imbalance or did you take or do anything to correct it?

I am now in the same boat. On January 20th right after going to bed, I was awoken by a panic attack and I could not breathe. The ambulance took me to the ER because I was so frantic. I was taking "X5 Extreme pre and Size on intra work out" supplements. At the ER they gave me Ativan IM and sent me home with an Ativan prn prescription.

Well it has been almost a month now and I am still having shortness of breath, anxiety, brain fogs, like I'm a zombie. My primary has given me prozac to try but after 2 weeks of taking it I had really bad side effects. He wants me to try zolof but I'm hesitant because I was only depressed for a day and I don't want to count on zoloft to make me normal again. I am still taking Ativan prn or to go to sleep because those supplements also gave me insomnia.

For the last 2 weeks I have been going to an accupunturist/nutritionist. Accupunture does wonders for me but it doesn't last long because just like you my brain is always thinking negativity. Also, she said try not to take the zoloft because I'm not crazy. Last week my accu/nutri ordered a complete lab draw. She found that my creatinine level was elevated, and some others were off. So actually today I will be starting to take some herbal medicine from her office. This is so costly but I want to get back to my normal self. If this works I will let you all know.

Anyways, has anyone ever detoxing? Did it work? Please share what you have used.

Thank you

good for you that you have built up a tolerance to caffeine. That has nothing to do with the side affects of caffeine especially when the dose is so high 225mg which the same as a tall americano. The form of caffeine/delivery method may be the issue. NO-Xplode uses -methylxanthine (meth´ilzan´thēn), n diuretic agent (e.g., aminophylline, caffeine, or theophylline) that serves as a smooth muscle relaxant and cardiac muscle and CNS stimulant. Clinically, it is employed as a bronchodilator. caffeine attaches to adenosine receptors prohibiting adenosine from doing so. Meanwhile the pituitary gland sees this and tells your adrenal glands to produce adrenaline. It also increases dopamine. adrenaline causes tachycardia, increased strength ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panic_attack) take half of a dose and the bottle clearly says take for no more than 12 weeks and discontinue for no less than 4 weeks.*** There is also a warning on the label for people who are sensitive to caffeine and or Beta-alanine

I'm a psychotherapist and have seen numerous people who have begun having panic attacks after taking large doses of stimulants. Whether the type of stimulant was caffeine, nicotine or amphetamines (for example ADHD meds) of one form or another, it did not matter. Taking stimulants can cause the onset of anxiety disorders, a form of which is panic. If you are suffering from panic attacks (which I began suffering from when I was 23), you need to see a therapist &/or a prescriber to be placed on medication & learn coping skills to help you overcome these anxiety disorders. Also, spread the word to your friends & family -- stimulating medications & substances induce anxiety disorders (whether they are prescription strength medication or OTC drugs).
