Easy for you to say if one can't sleep at night

I've always had this. I believe it is your pulse on your neck making a slight movement on your face/ear which moves ever so slightly and causes the 'noise' against the pillow. This is just my theory! Trust you are not alone !!!!

My left ear is pulsing and and banging but only on a night

Guys look at your vitamin B intake as this is what causes the pulsing. In your ear. Especially vitamin B12.
Are you taking Vitamin b complex? If so chuck it in the bin.
Do you eat alot of animal produce?
Salmon and beef are crazy in b vitamins.
Like me im sesitive to b vitamins. I will be up all night after salmon. Google your food nutrtion before you eat it. Your tinnitus will calm down

I'm dealing with the same thing. Did you ever find out why it is/ was happening?

Could be carotid artery blockage.

I get this sometimes (heartbeat sound in an ear at night) and have for years. My workups from my physicians all came back normal. For me, it was/is an upper cervical misalignment, C1 was out of alignment, but after correcting that one, most often C2 is out of alignment with me when this happens. I see an upper cervical chiropractic specialist, which is important for a positive treatment outcome. These specialists I have seen are NUCCA doctors or Atlas/Orthogonal doctors. After an adjustment, no more ear problems, until the next time I need an adjustment!! Best wishes to all. :)

Reduce your caffeine intake. It's a known cause of this.
