HEAVY BLEEDING WITH LARGE BLOOD CLOTS!!!!!!!

I'm 26yrs of age. Im currently 4mo postpartum had my son sept '12. I found out while I was pregnant that I had hpv cin1. My fiance's ex had hpv and hep c. I have been tested for hep c had a negative test. My fiance and I have been together for 3 years, he is my childhood bestfriend, sooo we have history. I knew his ex cheated on him with 6 other guys while being with him, he sadly didn't get the news until later on after the breakup. He had gotten checked before getting with me and his test for everything hpv/std's came back normal. Nothing. He was clean. I have had normal paps ever since I first started getting checked back in '01. I went to planned parenthood every 6 months for paps and bc always had my tests come back clean. Started being sexually active at 14, though i had a longterm relationship for 7 years. My ex and I split when I was 21. I was single from 21-24 no sexual partners. I was a full time student, full time work didn't have any time on my hands for sex and or relationships. Anywho's I reconnected with my fiance back in 08, nothing serious. Just friends long distance, i was in California at the time going to college. I moved back home in 09 to be with my now fiance. This is my first time having heavy bleeding postpartum, before my pregnancy my period was only 4 days long, always had been that way since the day I started menstrating. Since having my son I have bled non-stop, even while taking bc. It's been a big pain in the butt and my tolerance is running real low. My fiance has been patient, loving, and very supportive of what I have been experiencing. He has been tested for Hpv and has the same thing I have. I would love to have another child, but I am recently considering asking to get a D&C or a hysterectomy. I don't have the patience to tolerate this bleeding. My ob says this is normal? But how am I too believe that when I have had friends go thru this as well, I live in a very small town and I am a 6 hour drive from the city. I have been in 9 times since having my son for paps/colscopy. My ob found a wart on the inside of my cervix but says its not gential warts. Its just from the cin1. I need some advice? Im borederline diabetic and Ive been partial breastfeeding since the day we brought our son home from the hospital. I was looking into getting Gardisal I had a friend who had what I had and said that she got the shot and it helped her immune system fight off her Hpv cin1. Does anyone know anything about this? Im at the age limit where as of March of this year I will no longer be able to get the shot because I'll be turning 27. I spoke with my Ob about this and he doesn't approve. Im not worried about the costs..I have really good insurance coverage, and just would like to know if anyone out there has any other information that could be helpful for me to look into. I go in tommrow for a Pelvic Transbd..I have had my thyroid tested and everything came back normal. Idk what can be going on with my body, I have not been able to lose my weight from my pregnancy, Im 5'6, was 145lbs prior pregnancy, yet I gained 80lbs no joke during my pregnancy. Im now weighing in at 200lbs and can't lose the excess weight, Im on a gluten free diet bc my son has wheat allergies/nut allergies and I consume 1160 cal a day as well I have 1 1/2 hour of exercise in the morning to yoga/pilates and at night I run for 40mins straight. I exercise like this 5 days a week, using the weekends to rest and relax. Im in need of some serious advice..

I'M 48 YEARS YOUNG AND I HAVE HPERTHYROIDISM. MY DOCTOR RECENTLY INCREASED MY THYROID MEDICINE TO 20mg. THREE TIMES A DAY. AND NOW I'M HAVING VAGINAL BLEEDING WITH BLOODCLOTS. IT'S BEEN GOING ON FOR A WEEK NOW. I'VE BEEN CALLING HIM ALL DAY BUT HE IS BUSY WITH ANOTHER PATIENT. WHAT SHOULD I DO? ANYONE WITH SUGGESTIONS?

I know the last post was five years ago but if anyone else reads this and finds this helpful. I have the same problem, bleeding so much I've passed out, clots the size of eggs, and ya doctors say come in but then don't do anything and I'm left with the stress of the bill. The only thing that has worked for me are herbal supplements. The moment I stop taking them, it comes back. It's a Female Balance by Kroeger Herb and I also take a natural Thyroid Complex. I tell the doctors but they don't believe me. They say my Thyroid level is fine, but that's because I'm taking the supplements... Granted western medicine has saved my life in so many ways...it's just not the all cure...

To all the ladies who see this. It's not normal to have bleeding like that. I am a nurse and work for a GYN doctor. This can be cause by endometriosis, fibroid rumors, PID, or something else serious. So if you are going thru this please fi nd a good and dependable GYN in your area and get the correct tests done. Ask question and let them know u want tests to rule these things out.

Hi, I'm 18 and have had these odd looking flesh like things for my last 4 periods. However my doctor won't refer me and says there's nothing wrong. I'm in severe pain when I have a period and when I'm not on my period my urine is always cloudy, yet she still claims nothing is wrong. This is really disrupting my life, and I'm finding it difficult to cope with. Do you have any ideas of whats I should do?

What tests would you recommend? I am currently anemic, had a transvaginal ultrasound and regular gyn exam that, I'm told, were normal. This has been going on for years for me, but is getting much worse over the last year. It started about 6 months post partum,(20 + years ago) followed by a serious weight gain(all the baby weight back and more) over the next 6 months. I was treated horribly by two OB/GYNs and eventually ended up self treating with high doses of B complex (which gave me marginal relief-at least enough to leave the house occasionally). About 5 years ago, decided to try a doctor again, he prescibed prometrium, wich was working great until the pharmacy was backordered and gave me a generic "equivalent".

I feel like I've been hemmoraging ever since, even though I was able to get the prometrium again by the next month, it seems the damage had been done and it is no longer effective. I am now anemic and a little scared. All physical tests indicate a normal, healthy uterus. My gynocologist wants to do an ablation and my primary recommends a hysterectomy - on a normal, healthy organ! WTheck? It seems to me that this would indicate the problem is hormonal or otherwise, and really, is not going to be treated by those procedures.

What tests should I be having to find the root/underlying cause?

you know ive been having the same problem for 3 months ...been getting my period twice in a month, with really heavy bleeding .just gushing as times. with very large blood clots ranging from size from a quarter to the size of the palm of my hand,this is very scary. well i went to numerous hospitals . n only one was able to tell me this is serious i need to be seen by a gynocologist asap. but ive been bleeding and passing clots for the past 3 months for more than a week at a time twice a month. and my pad usually is filled in a matter of 5 minutes. bleeding like this i dont mess with tampons ,knowing bout tss.id rather play it safe than add to whatever my problem is.medical

I've been looking into Von Willebrands disease. I dismissed it before because I thought a clotting disorder would surely have been diagnosed when I was much younger, but having the increased bleeding, I have been looking at all possibilities again and it appears that such would not necessarily be the case. I'm talking to my doctor tomorrow about testing for it. It's a challenge because the tests are multiple, pricey and can come back normal even if you have it. *sigh* Good Luck to you and the rest here.

Hi, I found this page while I googled clots, I have pcos, and i get my period off and on. I have hashimoto's thyroiditis and take 0.137 of synthroid, Last feb I had a very heavy period with huge clots the size of my palm, I went to dr and had a pap and bloods done and everything came back fine except low iron stores. but then two months later rechecked and was fine, he did tell me to buy over the counter iron pills which I took one a day, I am also on celexa 20mg and ativan 0.5 when needed for panic I have GED. I am lately just gettting gushes of blood with liquid not a ton but enough to feel a bit wet like when you first get your period, Just trace bleeding then for a day or so, then gone, a little clot maybe and then done , then a week later it happens again. I don't k now. What do you think/? thanks

The tests showed mild Von Willebrand's disease. Now comes the work of figuring out how to best treat it. Best of luck to all who are having this problem. Thanks for the forum in which to vent a bit.

The urethra is for urine to pass through from the bladder. It is not the urethra. Look it up in any anatomy book.
