I'm sooo happy I found this. I get these things when the weather gets cold and I blow my nose all the time. I've never had blisters or cold sores on my mouth so I have no idea what this is. I hate it, it looks gross. My husband says it looks like a brain at the end of my nose. I've always just put vaseline or neosporin on it. I'm so happy I'm not the only one!!

I too have had these nasty things for years. Ive tried the valtrex, the herpes creams etc. None of them work and you have to go through about 10 days of hell. I developed one yesterday and decided to read up on everyones remedy's. I took the advise of a couple of people and it is working!! First, as soon as the blister starts to develop put ice on it. Try to ice it all day it has worked for me so far. Also, if you shower keep hot water off of it, hot makes them worse and sun makes them worse. Second, go to a health store and buy silver. Silver nasal spray to keep it from spreading and silver drops to apply to the sore. It is unbelievable how well this is working. It shrunk right away. Good luck! It sucks being ugly while these heal.

Hey guys, I also have this problem and was looking to see if others had any other solutions! One thing I have also found is that it spreads RIDICULOUSLY. The best thing I have found for it is an ointment called Germoline. It smells a little funny but as long as you apply it immediately when you feel that sore tender nose coming on, you should have no problems! I also recently found that if you clean it frequently, (using a q-tip) with something mild like a skin toner it heals faster and won't get to that scabby gross stage! Just never pick at it or it will spread and scab...yuck! Hope this helped! =]

Make a paste with bottled water and baking soda..put on the area over night..the swelling will go down. And the hurt gone..little harder to get rid of the redness..believe it or not vyzine does get the red out..good luck..

I got this months ago starting inside, spreading outside, then to the other side. I tried Carmel, neosporin, nystatin, and muciproxin. They all blistered it worse, caused it to swell and feel like it was on fire. It then dries up into a horrible scab, but keeps oozing underneath, so it's all swollen and I can't stand the pressure and end up poking it or ripping the scab off. Then it starts over again.
I want to try some things listed but there is such a wide array of opinions.

This is the first time, I've had a cold and realized the blisters on my nose. I've tried calimine lotion and my proactive and I don't see much result. The only problem is that it itches and the blisters bust when I washed my face. Whats going to happen to my face? Is it going to get worst? How long will it take to heal? I feel ugly.

I found that as soon as you feel one coming put geranium oil on. It stops it in its tracks! If it is impotega chickweed healing salve will clear it up when nothing else works. Both item you buy at a health food store. My dau had impotega & nothing worked until I tried that & she had it for a month.

Keep a supply of MOM... milk of magnesia on hand... as soon as you feel one coming on... take a 2 tablespoon dose of it and it will stop it... it's liquid magnesium and works great... A nurse told me about it when I was getting them really bad... worked every time...

I saw this post a while back and I'm glad I did. I've been fighting this blister outbreak on my nose, on and off, for 5 years! I finally went to my dr and we both thought it was impetigo. After a round of antibiotics and a cream, it came back! This time he took a culture of it. Its a staph infection. Heading to the dermatologist in two day to get it taken care of. I get cold sores at least a couple times a year sometimes they are just little and other times I get them on my lips and chins but latelY I've been taking Lysine, it helps with skin and lip care it cleared everything up by about half the time it usually does. Buti just recently got one on my nose and idk if it's a cold sore or impetigo.. I can't tell. Idk what to do!!

hi i recently went on holiday to france and i got these water blisters bubble things on my nose. i hate them and they have got all infected and they scrab over but once i wash my face in the shower or something the scab goes all soft and bad again. i used to get bubbles on my fingers and they made me itch like crazy. please help . im sixteen and im a girl this is not a confidence booster in anyway shape or form and i go back to sixth form soon!!!!!!

If it comes back, and it probably will, go to your dr and have it swabbed. It's more than likely Staph. There's nothing they can do for it but give you a cream to prevent future breakouts from getting worse. Good luck!
