I get the same thing! About every few months I feel my nose starting to hurt as if I'm getting a pimple. Then later look and see the clump of small blisters. But ontop of it I can feel the fluid from the blisters building up under my skin and makes it very painful and swollen under my whole nose. I know it's not the best remedy but I take a small needle and just poke once or twice at the blister lightly and push all the fluid out like a pimple and it feels so much better. I then take alcohol or hydrogen peroxide to clean the infection out under the skin instead of just a cream ontop of the problem. Then use balm or neosporin to treat the dead skin. I might scab a tiny bit for a few days, but that skin was going to die anyways and the fluid underneath would spread or pop and ooze to other areas! I prefer to get it out!

knowing that im not the only one going through this embarrassing viral infection it makes me feel a lot better, its hard when you look in the mirror and you see this and you dont know why. i wanted to commit suicide because of this, makes me afraid to go to work and messed up my career. i use peroxide and neosporin and that seems to work well. i also do my best to drink lots of hot green tea and greek yogurt with all types of berries high in antioxidants so that my immune system can be real strong. these breakouts seem to happen when im extremely stressed about something subconsciously that i try not stress about but i know that that could be the only reason and it seems to happen when im most stressed. since i eat well and keep my immune system high i dont get sick too often but it is when i stress out and get too much sun it happens the most. Sucks cause i live in arizona... Its nice to know people are going through what i go through so that maybe there are people who will see it and not judge me and think im some sicko who has herpes and does all kinds of weird stuff. Sometimes i ask god why do i deserve this and i dont know i think overtime it becomes less severe with each breakout so i hope thats true and i wish the best of luck to everyone and that more people could be less judgemental towards people and more understanding. but yeah i think peroxide is really effective, it is harsh at first but i feel like i can feel it going to war with these micro organisms and owning them. just be careful cause it can be harsh on normal tissue so just put it on exactly where it is with a q-tip and dont put too much on the q-tip or it will drip onto the rest of your skin and maybe it will spread. i hope all of yous guys get better quick and the next time it happens its under your nostrils so no one can see it and you can do your normal life routines without beeing looked at funny by people.

Whenever I feel a fever blister coming on my lip, I coat the entire area with clear nail polish. It stops it instantly. I also make sure to rinse my mouth throrougjly with listerine. My theory is that the sore needs oxygen to breath - that's why it erupts when your skin cracks sue to dehydration, cold, fever, etc.

People say I am crazy for puttting nailpolish on my lip, but at least I am not a crazy woman with a fever blister. I am not sure it will work the same on your nose, but I've done this several times on my lip and by the time I wake in the morning, it is gone.

I first started getting fever blisters after using Acutane for adult acne. I would be interested to know if other people experienced this as well. Tx

Omg I had no idea others had this too! I had a bad round with it last year right after a cold and it took months to heal! I woke up last night with another case of it. I am going to try the Zilactin and see if it works for me.

I have one the size of a nickel extending from inside my nostril to the outer nose area. Another one

near the corner of my mouth, although it is much smaller and way less painful. I was prescribed

denavir cream for a similiar outbreak a couple of years ago. I just had the worst cold/flu in years,

and the day I started feeling better, the blisters popped up. It's horrifying, embarassing, and

extremely uncomfortable. Off to the doctor to get more denavir because I have suffered from this since

a teenager, and I have tried everything, including bactroban. The denavir healed it the fastest, at least

in my case.

I've had impetigo every winter for about 5 years now. Especially after a cold sore or dry cracked lips. you can tell its impetigo by the tingling itch, and the fact that the blisters are in small clusters. Just got it again. Best treatment is go to dr. And get prescription for bactroban! I feel it coming and that is quick and effective every time. I have not tried the oxy, but I would like to not have to run to dr. Every year When I know exactly what it is! I'm going to try that tonight, but may have to still go in. Ugh >:P

Last time I went to the doctor he gave me some anti biotics.Come back he said if you need a stronger dose. Why do they do that.Just give me the best you got now.I'm going back today with a list from everyones outbreak names.I have found that the best cream to have in your med kit is MOMETASONE FURATE.Fantastic stuff, really!!! Knocks over rashes, scabs, pimples, tinia, ears, basicly any fungal. You must try it.It kept the blister at bay, even got rid of it at one stage, but then it came back once I stopped applying the cream.

My case is that I found out I have an allergy to Kleenex and facial tissue. If it so much as touches my nose, I get the painful blistering. I switched to handkerchiefs and while it takes some getting used to, it was totally worth the switch. I haven't gotten a single blister since! I make absolutely sure that I never, never use Kleenex, napkins, tissue, toilet paper, ANYTHING on my nose except for handkerchiefs.

Hello everyone I have also had this since I was ten years old. I would get the little bumps under my nose and it would just spread. I recently discovered that iodine kills it. If you put iodine on a cotton swab and push on it so it burst. It will sting a little but next morning it will become a small scab.

Im glad I'm not the only one too. When I get it I generously apply (hy grade lotion) often and that keeps it moist and less painful.

So - I've been getting these for over 15 years - they are the worst! Just recently found something that works for me - and I think I've tried just about everything! L-lysine (supplement) helps with these, but if I feel them coming on I dab some thieve's oil mixed with olive oil. I haven't had a breakout of these in almost 2 years now... (Knock on wood)
