sht my aunt gets them everytime she sits on a hot car seat. she has to use a cushion that she puts inside the freezer in order to be able to sit in the car on those hot summer days. just one of those things. oh ive also had one for the last couple of days. i was pushing in the chitter on the weekend and i go to the gym twice a week and well that didnt help. next day i had a roid the size of a gumball and damn does this thing hurt. i cant even sit down or walk. people have recommended i pop a vitamin E and shove it in my sphincter. i will definitely have to try it because im cant even walk now.

lifting weights has a lot to do with your problem. if you are trying to max out in the weight room and are lifting more than you usually do then the pressure builds up inside of you which causes hemaroids. if the creams and ointments aren't working then i would go see a doctor and see what they would say.

I've never had it until last week when I started feeling some pain, then bleeding and now a bump which hurts like hell. I can't seem to sit on my ass or sleep without a cushion between my legs to decrase the pain.
As everyone stated about lifting, I guess mine is from lifting cause i just started lifting about 3 weeks ago.
My question is does it go away itself or treatment is necessary?

Im twenty two and recently suffered from an external hemorrhoid after carrying heavy objects while moving out. unlike most people, mine did not cause much pain, I visited a Procotologist, who told me it was nothing serious and it would eventually heal on its own. He squished the blood out and sent me home. It has been 4 weeks ever since, and the hemorroid is no longer swollen. I did noticed the skin somewhat streched out but nothing big. As a precaution i read some articles about it and began to take herbal treatment to prevent any further recoccurances. I have been takin horse chesnut and butcher's broom. I also drink prune juice before going to bed to avoid constipation. So far it has woked and no signs of reocurrance, hopefully it would never come back hahaha

Im 18 years old and just got one from pushing my limits on the gym. If you feel a ball the size of a pebble coming out of your anus just contact a colon-rectal surgeon, there are plenty of them around (surgeon doesnt mean that hes gonna conduct a surgery on you. Just make an appointment, he/she will just take a look). Mine told me that one little "pebble" would go away in about 1 to 2 weeks (he prescribed Analpram HC). These people are proffessionals and theres no reason to feel ashamed, but be ready for the finger test, if you know what I mean. o.O

Yeah it really f**ks THE DAY UP when your washing your ass and find a damn lump the size of a GOLF BALL hanging out of your as****e. That's what happen to me on a Saturday of all days! It wouldn't have been quite as bad if it had been a Monday atleast I could have taken off work with sick pay. I'm 29 and just started back going to the gym, guess I strained a little to hard on the leg press. f**k weight training if this is what happens! I usually look forward to blowing the toilet up, but for the first time in my life I'm dreading when the time comes :-(

About 2 years ago, I had a bad case of hemroids. It's not so much a painful feeling but an unimaginable itching irritation that ruins your life. I never experienced this "painful" feeling everyone talks about.
I had a surgeon remove them through a rubber band ligation and everything was good until now...
I'm going back to the same surgeon this monday to get them removed again.
Any doctors or people out there know any information that can help me out? I wouldn't like to have to see this guy every 2 years to remove my roids. Thanks.

well my hemorrhoids started with MMA training... and my symptoms seem to get worse with lifting heavy weights... although they dont really hurt or anything I do get bloody ass wipes from time to time that seem to come from heavy lifting the previous day. the roids must be internal as to I dont have anything sticking out of me but this sucks though :-(

Witch hazel. it is for bug bites. you can get it at the drug store.
i also experienced hems from working out. i remember the day clearly. i was doing chin ups. then felt it in the bum. later that week, after a long car ride, i woke up with extreme pain and swelling. i mean screaming pain.
i stopped working out for a few years. changed my diet big time. tried many different herbs and creams.
the most effective stuff i can suggest is.
1. for immediate pain. witch hazel.
2. to get rid of them and to stay regular. Milk thistle tea or Dandelion tea.
3. i'm trying to stay off Prep H, but only use it in emergency
4. i forgot which "pills" off the net i tried but not all work well.
5. chinese medicines seemed to work ok, but cause itching. Fargelin was the name.
i started working out again 5 months ago, and after doing squats, i had the bright blood again this morning.
its been about 8 months since so if its once a year.
one thing i learned is that it didn't happen over night, so the body takes years to rebuild the strength.

Mine started when I was 17 a year after hitting the gym hard. Continued to get them as long as I was doing heavy leg presses or squats. Prep H for the symptoms, and lighter weights for the leg lifts have all but stopped me getting them. Took me 20 years before I stopped with the heavy squats or leg presses and now get a flare once every 1-2 years.

Yeah, I've had hemorrhoids in the past. I guess I am just prone to them. Thing is, I am an Exercise Science major, and a personal trainer, and fitness and working out, and lifting weights is part of my life.
I recently started doing a training set for Olympic style weight lifting (power clean + jerk, snatches, squats, and lots of abdominal training) I noticed that a day after a really hard workout, I had a small hemorrhoid. I've had them before so I wasn't too worried.
Then, I went to Karaoke, with some Korean friends and was signing to my hearts content, plus drinking a bit much (alcohol is no good for roids) and the next day I noticed a very swollen hemorrhoid sticking out, about the size of a garbanzo bean....ugh. It's been almost a week now and it's gotten a bit smaller but is still causing me problems. Now, I am afraid to workout because I don't want to aggravate the problem further.
Anything I can do? I have been using a cooling soothing Witch Hazel and Alove Vera gel.
By the way, I am only 23 and this is like my 3rd time having hemorrhoids....they suck.

I feel your guys pain. I'm 22 and have been suffering the past month with roids. I have had them longer, since about 19 but they have gotten so bad lately that I cant sleep. I recently went on a diet and started hitting the gym. I've lost about 30 pounds but now the pain is so bad that I cant bare it. I'm using prep h but it doesn't do much. I always thought roids were a joke but they are very painful. I tried to add fiber to my diet but no help. Going to the doctor now. I just hope there is something I can do about this. It is really interrupting my day to day life.

I'm 25 and have suffered with them all my life. Recently during weight training I've created a new one. They feel like they'll never go down, but they do !!
Just have as many warm baths as you can, and if possible push them back in.
