Ok , I have had problems with hemorrhoids for about a year. I don't have anything to treat them besides just eating what I'm supposed to and not weight lifting. Now I need to know if there is any way that I can ever weight lift again... with these internal hemorrhoids. I NEED to weight lift to get some strength. I have an upcoming physical abilities test to do for the Police Department and as a female I dont want to be the last in line [if you know what I mean] If anyone can let me know what I can do, besides cardio which I know. Thanks

I've had a pretty fair size hemorrhoid for the last 5 days or so.  I am 23, male, and I believe I received mine after doing squats. The doctor said it was pretty big. It's been bleeding the past 4 of those 5 days. The bleeding seems to be doing better slowly, so I'm hoping that stops. Oddly enough, mine doesn't hurt, nor has it since that first day (where it was unbearable to sit down).

If you are experiencing bleeding as I am, don't worry. The doctor said it is common for them to bleed a few days, however it is recommended to get rubber band ligation if the bleeding doesn't stop within a week. I hear others say that their hemorrhoids have gone away in one to two weeks time, so the option is up to you. The bleeding isn't a big deal, even though it may seem scary. The veins in the anus aren't that large, so the bleeding is very, very slow (I'm holding the doctor to his word!).

Ultimately, they do not necessarily go away on their own. They may shrink and appear gone, but they can/may resurface later. Creams (the iconic Preparation H) and hemorrhoidal suppositories only help temporarily; they do not heal the root of the problem. Creams prevent itching and burning, while suppositories do the same, also helping reduce the inflammation/swelling.

I would have a doctor check out your problem(s). If you have an UrgentCare facility nearby, I would suggest that as a cheap alternative to the hospital. It cost me $20 co-pay. To me, a doctor's opinion and professional advice is well worth $20 for such a personal issue. Best of luck to you all.

Last Thursday I did squats by Saturday I had a external half a pea size hemorrhoid. It burned and itched and on Wednesday decided to go doctors. He said not to worry about it to much wash my butt with water with salt and also can exercise but give it a bit of break. Running n cardio helps however avoid pressure things like squats and leg presses for a month. Im also putting on cream. Cross fingers it goes away

I had hamroid after I left gym for a while and gain some weight. Hamroid take its time, and sometime take upto 2 weeks to go away, it pain like hell, it bleed and you feel very unconfortable while sitting on a chair. I have tried everything, but the best solution is the sitz bath, and putting vaseline.

You need to change your diet for at least a month please strickly avoid these foods when you have hamroids (chocolate, coffee, coke, diet coke anything which has caffeine). increase your intake like fiber, carrot, and specially berries like blue barries, strawberry and cherry. You also consider taking stool softener which will help you a lot on daily basis. ( easily get that from any wallmart).

Do not lift any weight until it completly fix, because weigh cause pressure and that pressure will bring your hamroid again and worsen.

Remember one thing it will take its own time to heal. but you can use more fiber to reduce it quickly. Do not overdose yourself with fiber :)

I notice in my situation I was heavy coffee drinker and that was causing my hamroids to show up after every 4-5 months. So I quit drinking coffee and for past 2 years I didn't got any.

Hope my answer help! Good luck

lol, i feel the same way. I lift heavy water heaters and stuff on a regular basis. I been going to the gym for a couple years and lifted and pushed myself to the limit so many times and never had an issue. NOW all the sudden bam i feel it lifting a really heavy water heater up the stairs on the job. I realize something wasn't right. It wasn't that big and could barely see anything down there. So, i continued to work. Then next day after work, i took a shower and then took a look and was way worse. i even passed out in the hallway. So, i never want to go though this again, these hemorrhoids stay with us. I think i may have to quit my job and do something that doesn't require heavy lifting, and as for the gym-just cardio stuff.

Im still on the couch, trying to recover. Not working for 4 days strait. Not sure what to do. Money will be getting tight if i don't get back to work soon. Im not sure i may need to get removed of if it will go down in time. I've been trying to do everything to make it better. The pain has pretty much gone away and its barely has bleeding, so thats a plus. SHOULD I SEE A DOCTOR(no insurance)?

as what the experts said , YES" hemorrhoids will cure itself . But you need to avoid lifting weights , and Eat more fiber foods to have a smooth stool ... you're not alone , Because now I'm suffering this when i started squats and butt excercises, first day when i felt is may Ass aching , but no blood in my stool. soo i never mined it and it's gone after a couple of days ,. and when i start taking creatine and squats everyday. i have a small mount blood in stool , the blood occurs after your waste. soo by mean that i had a internal hemorrhoid due to bowel movements also . And when i stop taking creatine have a just a small amount of blood. I continued working out and lifting weights, since 3 weeks from now its not cure/heal soo i decided to stop lifting weight and observed. we need to give this an attention Even though it's a nature.. Soo Sad ... that i think all lifters suffered this. working out and lift weights have good benefit's but it's worse when it comes to the pressure of anus.

but i never mind it and i still continue lifting but a few days ago i start taking creatine and sad to say its getting worse blood occurs but not too much just a small amount soo i decided to stop taking it . and still continued lifting weights ,still have a small amount of blood sometimes nothing if didn't push my self to p**p . it's soo weired ,. and now after a several weeks still bleeding. but again small amount only and i understand because i still do lifting weights but i don't want to get it worse soo .. i decided to quit amd observed after its healing.
