Complete and utter tosh.........

"I am a wellness coach, and I used the shakes throughout my entire pregnancy AND now that I've been nursing for 8 months. It's a great way to give your body (and baby) what it needs. "

No it isn't. Proper food and nutrition is what you, your body and, more importantly, your baby needs: not this synthetic rubbish. The clue is in the name: "healthy meal replacement shake". Seriously, what? How about replacing the meals you eat currently with a healthy MEAL that will cost you far less! More to the point, during breast feeding you NEED CALORIES! This rubbish will not provide you with those calories.

"Do you ever eat McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's... And so on? Think of that all of that food has in it as for chemicals and things that are bad for you. "

No I don't funnily enough.... and your product is just as synthetic and unnatural as the product you are promoting.

"Doctors don't tell use when we are pregnant not to eat that stuff, so why is it wrong to have proper nutrition?"

Exactly.... it's just that herbalife isn't proper nutrition either....

Let me tell you how this herbalife rubbish works.

A wellness coach tells you that you are unfit in slightly better means, but guess what? They have some fantastic products that can save you! And all you have to do is buy them!

What they don't tell you is the rip-off price of these products and you get drawn in. They weigh you and do your "stats" (which are no doubt also fudged...) and tell you how well you are doing despite:

a) you being able to use a cheaper "off the shelf product" rather than their over priced junk
b) you being able to save even more money by simply changing your diet to a HEALTHY NUTRITIONAL MEAL (not meal replacement) that will cost you substantially less..... and probably be a damn right better for you.

Another problem with herbalife shakes is that you end up feeling hungry and need to turn to healthy snacks, (funnily enough, also recommended by herbalife) so you end up spending more money with them....

And if you don't buy their product they force you on other "high protein" "healthy" snacks which are far from healthy. Guess one product that they recommend? CHEESE! Seriously? WTF? That is one of the most unhealthy foods out there: full of saturated fat. All you are doing is slowing down your weightloss, and guess what? You end up buying more herbalife rubbish.

Do yourselves and your baby a favour. Steer clear of this faddy, over priced diet.

Hi, I'm a Herbalife distributor, I take the products and I'm pregnant. The F1 shakes, bars are all safe. Don't take the teas or energy drinks, they contain a natural caffeine and should be avoided as they contain much higher concentrations than regular tea and coffee. Regular herbal teas are fine, if you like a typical brew try red bush tea, you prepare it the same as English tea. I'm also a forever living distributor, I drink their regular herbal teas, there's no artificial rubbish in them. hope this helps.

Herbalife will not make recommendations during pregnancy as they are not trained specifically in pregnancy. They are not saying that the products are harmful, they are saying that you need to speak to your physician to see what nutrition you need based on your health.

The products won't harm your baby but there may not be enough of what you personally need and you may need to top up with other supplements.

Ie i'm anaemic so I can take the products but have specific levels of iron prescribed due to deficiency.

A shake has a full meal of nutrition in, so if you are struggling to eat because of nausea, sipping on a shake is going to be better than eating nothing or chomping on biscuits which are just sugar

Don't take the teas, they are too high in caffeine which can cause miscarriage

With regards to aloe, if you were taking it at the time of conception you can continue taking it. If you are thinking of starting to take it now you are pregnant - DONT. The products are highly potent and a small foetus not used to taking in such concentration could cause a miscarriage.

The regular F1 shakes are fine. Don't use the sports nutritional shakes.

Well they would wouldn't they? They don't have a clue and their aim is to sell you their rubbish. Do yourself a favour. Don't spend the money on Herbalife, spend it on a decent personal trainer.

I have stopped doing the strict shake regiment since becoming pregnant but I miss my tea with aloe! Is it ok to drink the tea at least once a day with the aloe? I see it has green tea extract in it and apparently green tea is a no-no.
