Hi,
Hidradenitis suppurativa is a chronic disease of a sweat gland. It can occur in one or multiple areas of your body but Hidradenitis suppurativa usually develops in armpits, groin and anal area. It causes long-term skin inflammation and can be very painful. Most common symptoms include blackheads and red, tender bumps, called abscesses and these abscesses are getting bigger, break open and leak pus. Tunnels that form under the skin between abscesses is one more of the symptom and of course scarring of the tissue and skin.
Unfortunately the reaserchers still don’t know what is causing Hidradenitis suppurativa but they have noticed that it occurs more in woman than man.
When it comes to treatment it includes antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medicines and sometimes surgery. Losing weight and wearing loose clothing can be very helpful.
Hello. Hidradenitis suppurativa causes you one really ugly and annoying thing - to get painful bumps under your skin near some of your sweat glands - armpits, breasts, intimate areas, etc. There's no cure for it, unfortunately, but some treatments - natural or antibacterial, and of course, lifestyle changes can bring some relief and cut down on flare-ups. So, when you notice this, you have to start work on your lifestyle changes. Also, you should know that you can get outbreaks and pimples in places where your skin rubs together - such as between your thighs or, for women, under the breasts.
