Hi I don’t have a nickel allergy that I’m aware of, but sounds like there could be something in what you’re saying in your case! It’s a nightmare isn’t it. My docs also think tell me it can’t be related to gallbladder.. I’m going to show them this thread next time haha.

Update: The hives did eventually go away after about 3 months! Stopped taking the tabs now and I’ve been fine. So strange though, I’m guessing it just took my body time to get use to a missing organ. Another side effect I’ve had is cellulite on my stomach. Still rather that than fje gallbladder attacks!

As for cellulite, the exact cause of it is not fully understood, but it's believed to involve a combination of factors including genetics, hormonal factors, and changes in metabolism, physiology, diet and exercise habits.
There isn't a direct, well-documented connection between gallbladder removal and the development of cellulite (as far as I know). However, any surgery can result in changes in body composition, fluid balance, or hormonal shifts which could potentially contribute.
You can try regular physical activity to reduce the appearance of cellulite by toning muscles and reducing body fat. Also, some people find that massage or certain topical treatments can temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite, though results can be variable.

What about the clamp on the ducts that stay? I wonder what they’re made of. I’m 8 days out and I have hives around all 5 incisions.
