Hi, well you have allowed yourself a nice length of time to get a flat tummy. You will need to focus on an exercise regime that will focus on strengthening your stomach muscles. When doing any exercise to improve muscle tone, variety is the key. Aerobic exercise 3-5 times per week alongside sit ups is the best way to go. Short bursts every day. Try to keep it fun so that you enjoy doing the exercises, maybe put some loud music and get some friends involved as well. At your age you shouldn't really be dieting, but you can opt for healthier meal choices. At twelve years old you are still growing and need to get a good supply of nutrients from the food your eating. Remember perseverance, it does take time.
