Hi,
I am 12 years old and i am over weight. I am about 150 pounds. i am 5'4 in hight. I play sports.At home i do not drink soda or juice just water. I eat normal portions of Grilled chicken breast and meat with Vegetables.The hard thing is im not losing weight nor gaining it.Iwould like to lose weight about 30 pounds.If i don't lose it now it will get even harder as a teenager and adult. I would not like to over weight.What i know as a fact is that everyone's body is built difrently.Some people can eat 2,000 calories a day and not gain 1 pound. Its all called metabolism. It is how fast your body can burn calories.My suggestion is:

1.Eating about 1200 calories a day! if you have a bag or back pack you bring to school buy a small notebook and write down how mnay calories it is.At the end of the day you would want to consume about 1200 calories.Alot of people say that eating 600 calorise a day for dieting is good but not for a growing young girl.

2.Drop all suger in your diet.Yes, all candy,cookies,cakes exc... AND EXERCISE!

3.Instead of soda and junk, replace it with water.

4.Another diet i have tried is also 1200 calories.Basically you do everything that i have said to you but drop all dairy products. and every 2 weeks you get 1 meal were u can have a cheat meal.You can eat a slice of pie with spaghetti.Anything you want for 1 MEAL! this worked for my mom and I. My mom when she was about 13 lost 50 pounds in a couple months.

I know it is a big struggle for being over weight. And sometimes people just don't understand what over weight is like.If some girl in your school is calling you names or calls you fat.Its ok! There words don't mean a thing. Just keep strong at your diet! Keep exercising
It will come off even if it takes a while the result will be amassing!

if people call you fat its up to you to decide about your own weight the avreage weight for a 12 year old girl is ........ nothing its about your height most of you girls are about over 5ft so you will have more weight than your friends but if u still want to loose weight start with sit ups trust me if you do it proberly it will start to work do about a 100 a day but not all at once do about four sets of 25 also jog to school but if you feel stupid dont .get a bike its more safe than a tredmail cut down your foods dont have fizzy drinks dont eat after 6 p.m

wow i wish i was 114 pounds put just eating right is the main thing. If you are about 12-13 years of age i suggest you eating about 1200 calories and drop most sugar in your regular diet. once you have lost the ex-amount of weight you wanted to lose you eat your treats every once and a while.For me i cant survive with out sugar or a piece of chocolate. That is very normal for anybody. Thats why my diet i get a cheat meal every two weeks. So while im dieting i know just in 3 more days i get a piece of pie or in 1 week i get that plate of spaghetti.So it makes me look forward to eating something sugary so i wont cheat. It really does help! :D

Hi! I am in the same situation. I am 12 years old and I am 110 pounds. I hate being like this. I try to motivate myself but I can never get going. My problem is I am afraid of people seeing me workout. I know I have to start working out soon though cuz i have a trip to a waterpark in March and i dont want to look like a fat slug. :-( :$

hiya!! im 12 aswell i wanna loose some weight as well for about 3/4weeks now ive been drinking green tea now im noticing a differance i look healthier and i feel skinnier aswell keep with the exercise dri king water keeping your face clean and oil free watch what your eatting cut back on snacks like soda crips chocolate they may be nice but very bad if u feel skinny then your more or less likely to see it. im about 9st ino thats not realy bad but all my m8s are dead skinny and qre 5/6/7 st and i juat feel big but it just my tummy green tea helps reduce the size of your tummy aswell i think. just keep at it and youll be fine

Dont diet, hon. try weight watchers. you may think your too young, but gon, IT WORKS! Don't know your points? Look for a local weight watchers and ask about a kids plan. There you can find out your points. but rember, control your portions! i used to think my weight was very very high but all my friends told me i looked very skinny. they said i was skinnier than last year but last year i weighed less. so i made a change and joined weight watchers and i now weigh 120. I am 26 by the way. i Know wat im talking about. trust me hon. or maybe try slim fast drinks! but i would highly reccomend weight watchers. good luck, sweetheart!

hi Im 12 years old and I have the same thing happening...I want to lose it but don't want a medication. How can I lose It FAST??? I am 5'7 and prob. 150-160 somewhere around there...u people are very kind to reply...and I am tall so it could just be skin...and girls trust me nomatter what we think we are always beautiful in God's eyes in fact we are perfect in his image...never give in to the bad comments...and If I will lose weight so can u...I am now going to start running everyday...so could u. Im starting highschool soon and i dont want to be known as the 'fatgirl' people look at me and think you should be skinny, i dont feel confident about myself, ive been doing 100 sit up a night, ive been drinking skinny milk, eating fruits, playing games outside, i have also been going for jogs with my dog or friends. But nothing is happening, my stomach is only getting hardier, and i feel abbs riseing.
Is that a good thing? i start school in a few weeks and i want to be skinny within 2 weeks, But its so hard. Nothing is changing. and all my friends are nice and they have really nice body shape and there skinny, And i want to be like that :-( . I wear baggy tops to hide my fat, or when i have to, i suck it in. and people think im skinny, but they dont know the real me, i'd like to show myself as me and not someone im faking to be, i want to be able to wear my pretty tops without feeling fat, i have body strechmarks which makes me feel very uncomfortable, i have it near my breasts near my knees and arms and i feel so wrong about myself, can you please help me ? :'( i cry all the time because i want to be normal ..... I DONT WANT TO BE FAT. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

i'm 12 aswell everyone says im not fat, but i feel fat. im 7 and a 1/2 stone. None of your friends or family can really tell u if ur fat. at the end of the day you decide if u expect more from ur reflection in the mirror. there are so many ways to loose weight, i've started dancing i've been doing it for 1/2 a year and then i lost 1 stone, but then of course christmas came and it all came back on again. i dont have alot of dedication so i don't find it easy to loose weight. it's not my belly thats fat its my thighs! does any1 no a good way to loose weight on my thighs, coz i hate them! but if u stick at (joining a club is a great way! yoga, dancing anything even taking 4 10 minute walks a day will give u results.) then you will see results, but dont starve urself that is the worst thing u could possibly do i used to do that, but its really bad for ur energy levels i nearly fainted! lol goodluckxxx

Can anyone tell me how i can lose weight on my theighs ?
I weigh 58.9kg but it looks gross, and i want a nice body for highschool in a few weeks time.
I do sit ups everyday,
i go for a walk with my dog, i jog for abit.
And i also do normal stuff, like im in a cricket club,
And i jump on the trampoleen.
But i feel that im not loseing anything, :cry:

I also am getting abbs (IM FEMALE)
Once i had abbs and now its hidden under all that fat.
It was shocking abbs, it was normal lady abbs,
That athletes gets,
Anyway, im thinking of doing swimming once a week also.
And if im getting abbs AGAIN is that good ?
if i do sit ups and i feel my abbs rising again will the fat slide off?

hi there :|im 12 an my BMI is 36.6!im 105.3kg i missed all the fun activities like sports day and plays and i hav 2 act like i hate them because im FAT!i REALLY like this cute boy and he liked me a little but im fat so......... he doesnt want to know......... :cry: i try dieting once i starved myself and lost 8lbs!!! but the second i ate something i gained 1st! so im doin it the health way and it is taking sooooooooooooo long i loese like 1lb each week! :x but ppl are teasing me NOW!my childhood is slipping away and i cant enjoy ANY of it because im fat! :cry: :cry: :cry: :x HELP ME!!!!

im kinda the same way. im 11 n im 132 lbs! i wanna be 100 but i need to catch up on my excersise. im going to lose it no matter what anyone says and u shud too. think bout wat u want and what u think of urself not anyone else. and if u have ppl losing the weight with u u wont feel so bad. that way u knoe ur not alone. we gotta stick together and lose this weight! i dont know about u but im gettin in my bikini this summer! ;-)
